The service was excellent and the meal.was good.value for money. Was good to see so many dog owners out enjoying a meal with their pets. We had the carvery at £12.95 a head. The meat quality and quantity was excellent the vegetables needed more cooking and they should keep it simple and do it well rather than trying to be too flashy with the vegetables and ensure they are suitably cooked.

Our favourite for a Sunday carvery! Absolutely delicious. A lovely pub restaurant, good prices, good portion sizes from the menu also, great food and friendly staff.

Welcoming and clean with a good range of food on offer.Finding a table was no problem. The beef chilli con carne was a generous portion and really tasty. The breakfast was again a generous portion, non greasy and full of flavour. Would highly recommend a pit stop here 😀

They honestly seemed surprised when we arrived at 1pm for lunch. Staff were very nice, but service was astonishingly slow. It took 45 minutes for our food to come out, with no one warning us about this, nor saying anything during the wait. The food was nice though!

Really disappointing. Quite bad food, quite bad service. We had some of the garlic prawns as a starter. £8.25 for 4 prawns swimming in burnt butter! For our mains they got half the order wrong wanted gammon egg and chips and got cold ham. And my burger was so tough I couldn't cut through it let alone bite it. Overly sweet with the brioche and swimming in onion chutney from a jar. When asked if everything was OK? I replied "Its not great I'm afraid" to which the waiter replied with "Oh ok" and walked off. Nothing more was said even when we paid our bill. Not great

Went here with my family on the way back from Eden.It is a great place, friendly staff, great service.The seating area well small is very nice and for all the place I could see very clean. There is even a proper wood fueled fire place, that gives it the feel of a quite warm, welcoming place. Which it definitely is.The food, was amazing, very nicely sized meals all fresh. Some excellent cooking here.In terms of price for 4 mains and 3 desserts along with drinks it cost around 70 pounds and for the service and taste of the food it was well worth it.I would definitely come back here for dinner if I was passing through again and suggest friends who do pass this way to try it out.

Nice friendly pub. Good choice of drinks and decent prices.Dog friendly, no sports on tv but tv does show local news.Large tasty portions from the food menu and fair prices for the cornwall area.Staff always friendly👍

Took a chance on this place as I wanted a carvery but a little drive from where I live.So glad we found it.Plenty of free parking, easy to find, very friendly staff who gave everyone a warm welcome. Full of smiles.The carvery has a choice of three meats, beef, turkey and gammon. Plenty of meat served and the beef was extremely tender and tasty.Good choice of vegetables. Swede (seasoned fabulously and buttered), carrots, cabbage, cauliflower cheese, peas and honey roasted parsnips. All cooked beautifully.Roast potatoes, stuffing balls, gravy made with meat juices and homemade yorkies.Compliments to the chef...amazing.Highly recommended.

Service was exceptional, Bar Staff were attentive towards our needs, food was Amazing, Fish (Whale) and Chips and the plated Roast (with Homemade Yorkies) nothing wrong with anything, looking forward to going again

Excellent value for money and great food. Highly recommend the roast dinner!! Staff very friendly and dog friendly including a dog menu. Visited as on holiday in the area and will return 😊
