Absolutely lovely pub/establishment. Wonderful old fashioned type of pub, wide choice of wines, beers, cocktails etc, delicious food, very dog & child friendly. Prices are very reasonable to.A great find. The owner & staff are so welcoming & accommodating & that's rare these days. Thankyou, we shall be back.

Great pub with great atmosphere. I went to The Holmbush for Sunday lunch which was excellent value. Besides the normal menu, there is a carvery option. When I was there, the choice was between beef or pork. You have the option of three sizes: small, medium or large. I went for the medium option which was way more than enough. At the carvery, the meat and roast potatoes are served to you. You then serve yourself from the large range of vegetables - peas, carrots, parsnips, cauliflower cheese, swede etc.The lunch was cooked beautifully and was really tasty. The waiting staff were friendly and professional.By the ways, dogs are welcome and there is a dog station with dog biscuits and water available.

Booked a table for my daughters 18th for 14 people. Every accommodating. Food was great and came out fairly quickly and hot. Staff were very friendly and helpful. My daughter had a great time. Good time had by all

Came on the 23/3/22. What a lovely change in there. I think they have had a staff refresh and how overdue it was. We hadn’t been in a while due to feeling it was going downhill but so glad we went and had our faith restored. The only complaint I have is the food was very salty but apart from that top marks.

Very disappointed the food took forever and then was not great. Nan bread was like a brick the curry was bland. Others had issues too. I understand fully they were busy but we had prebooked our group many weeks in advance so gave them opportunity to be more prepared. I give 1 star as the servers were very friendly and kept us well informed so they deserve some credit. Many of the group believe they were charged incorrectly and will be requesting this to be checked once we have all obtained proof of bank charges as he failed to offer us receipts for transactions.

On the main A390 just East of St Austell. Friendly welcoming staff. Plenty of seats available. Good menu choices. Even 2 8oz West Country steak & chips for £23!! Talk about dog friendly, there's a special help yourself bar of bowls, water and treats! There's blankets too, likely to be for those wishing to sit outside.

The pub itself is nice as are the staff. The food too is also nice. I was a bit let down by the meal size.. I ordered the steak, which in most places comes with salad, mushrooms, maybe even some onion rings. Here however, the plate looked sad and they even cut the 1 mushroom in half!! Although the steak tasted nice, I doubt we'll be back for food.. the menu was small, they no longer do a mixed grill (which used to be epic) and the portion sizes are quite pathetic looking. Shame really 😕

Absolutely lovely little gem of a place. We were looking for a quick place for us and the kids( and dog) to eat at. We were seated quickly by a very friendly staff member. Service was really fast and friendly. Staff kept checking in with us to make sure everything was ok. Kids were given colouring pencils and a page to colour whilst we waited (such a bonus for tired kiddies). Food was fresh, hot and fast. Nothing pretentious- just good, honest, classic pub food which we all really loved. Table service only which was also great.bCannot recommend enough! Brilliant little place.
