Hotel Tresanton Restaurant in Cornwall

Visited here for an ice cream and drinks and sat outside on the terrace.The positives were that the ice cream was really nice and that the views from the terrace were amazing. There was also one friendly waiter.However, the attitudes of the remainder of the staff were appalling and they totally looked down on you and thought that they were in some way superior to you. The two who stood out were a guy dressed in blue who I asked for directions to the toilet. All I received back was a curt "down". Clearly too much of an issue to form it into a sentence. The second was a waitress who we tried to pay at the end, who just looked at us up and down like we were scum.Not impressed at all by their attitudes and also not impressed how they put on a service charge for ice creams and soft drinks.I seriously wouldn't recommend.

Had my birthday lunch here and it was excellent. One of the best lunches I have had. Beautiful setting and outdoor terrace with amazing views.

It must have been a nightmare recovering after Covid. Yet the Tresanton is still special, head and shoulders above all the restaurants in the area. Great food in a fantastic location. What else could one ask for? Maybe brighter smiles from the serving staff?

Not a stay but a superb Christmas Day lunch. I'm a bit late writing the review. The good, service, ambience and beautiful setting, absolutely top notch. Thoughtful and quality gifts distributed by Santa was a lovely touch. A really special meal and occasion.

One of the most beautiful hotels in England.This establishment is of the highest standard - fantastically clean and well maintained, beautiful designed and appointed, polite, respectfully and excellent staff.Genuinely one of the most wonderful places I have ever stayed and we plan to be married here in 2023. Thank you to everyone who makes this such a special place!

A comfortable and welcoming hotel, with amazingly helpful staff. The service is uniformly wonderful. Amazing views, fabulous food and a level of attention to detail that immediately puts you at ease. A real home from home.

When you arrive at Tresanton, it’s immediately clear that it was conceived by top hoteliers.Everything you rest your eye on, from the layout, to the the plants and furniture has been carefully considered.Service was excellent, as was the room and food. Staff were friendly and attentive, and the SETTING is absolutely stunning. It’s rare you get hotels this good any more; and I suppose it comes at a premium cost… but, to be honest, for what you get in terms of quality, relaxation and style, the £320/night price tag for a room is pretty fair.Would highly recommend.
