Jade Garden in Cornwall

The chefs here seem to be Thai and British. No more Chinese chefs. Also, it seems some of their items like pork ribs were frozen and microwaved before tossing in the wok.The noodle dish I bought was bland and the Salt and Pepper rib was too dry.

Even with ordering one and a half hours before they are still unable to have it ready when you get there. Always happens.

We have used Jade Palace in the past and have always been delighted with their food. However, tonight's order (home delivery) was way below average. We had two main courses, one of which was half rice, and a portion of banana fritters. Both meals were absolutely drenched in sauce to the extent I couldn't taste either the meat or fish, and ridiculously sweet. I would, and have paid more for such s meal, but on this occasion I feel totally ripped off @ nearly £25!!

We order from this place a lot and it does often take a while but tonight was definitely worse than usual. The food was due to take 1hr 20 minutes, understandable on a Saturday night. I called after 1hr 40 and they said it would be 20 minutes. I then called after 2hrs 10mins and they said it would be 5 minutes. Finally, it arrived after 2hrs and 30 mins!Hugely disappointed in how long it took, I really wouldn’t have minded as much if they’d just kept me up to date or been honest about how long it would be!When it arrived our egg fried rice was only ¾ full (which is unusual for them), but the other two dishes were great.They’re usually great but pretty disappointing on this occasion, definitely worth calling early if you want an honest estimation on when your food will arrive.

Ordered my food got told it would be an hour to and hour and half, waited 2 hours !! Phoned up and then got told they hadn't even started cooking our food . So then had to wait another 30 minutes, finally when we got our food it was definitely not worth the wait greasy and bland ,also my partner had ribs and he ended up being very I'll and sick within 2 hours of eating it . WILL NOT BE ORDERING AGAIN .

Ordered takeaway for myself and husband via online ordering service. Chose the 7.50pm slot for delivery and paid via card.Phoned Jade Palace at 8.20pm as nothing had arrived. Was told that they were busy and it would be a while as they hadnt started cooking it! But no apology. Tried phoning again at 9pm to find out what was going on- but it seemed the phone was off the hook until close of business! Food arrived at 9.40pm- just before bedtime!! Nearly 2 hours late- no apology from driver. Food wasted as didnt want to eat at nearly 10pm.Never used Jade Palace before and certainly won't be using again. Not a happy customer and definately dont recommend.

After being a loyal customer of this establishment I am disgusted at the customer service I received this evening!! After phoning to place an order specifying that I don't want veg in my dishes I turned up to revive one with, so I asked if I can change it to one that hasn't got veg as I can't eat it, to which the woman behind the counter raised her voice at me telling me I will have to pay for another, she didn't even offer to remove the veg for me and send me on my way! After 10 years of being a customer you should know I don't have veg in the dishes I order, and two even if you were right your services should be to find a solution not treat your loyal customers with such disrespect!! Safe to say I will NEVER use jade palace again!!!!

Please no one else have the same aweful experience as mine, waited 45 minutes past the 25 minutes i was originally told, sat in a stuffy waiting room that felt like i was waiting to be hung it was that depressing, all the while sat next to a freezer full of goodness knows what, roadkill? sure tasted like it, also the dirty looks from either homeless residents or i assume to be the delivery drivers didn't go down well, in my humble opinion not worth a single penny of my actually hard earned money.

I have tried to give this place a chance several times but they have let me down consistently.When they get your order right (which isn't often) the food is bland, oily and often tastes "funny".The dishes marked hot are not as hot as the dishes that don't have a heat rating and their Chicken Chilli Masala which doesn't say it's hot after it like the other hot dishes is like eating lava - it's so hot as to be uneatable (and I love hot spicy food) and you can't taste the dish.Couple all this with staff that don't really care about getting dishes wrong etc and the fact that it costs more for a takeaway from them than it does to sit in a decent restaurant in town and it all adds up to somewhere to stay well away from.

greasy food that all tastes the same at a high price. long waits up to 30 minutes after being told to come down in 20 minutes. sitting in a cold room next to a freezer. rude staff and the delivery drivers that look grubby and stare at you like your scum. also listeining to a microwave ping every couple minutes they have also had to re manage and shut the place due to terrible service nothing has change very dissapointed such a shame please for your own safety boycott this place and dont risk food poisoning and spending an arm and a leg for a bad family experience. go else were
