I had small turkey roast was very good and recommended and needs booking as not many other places. Was staying nearby for holiday.

Beautiful interior. The food was ok. Not as nice as expected and a bit underseasoned but ok. Garlic bread was not garlicky at all and burnt. What put me off though was the waiter asking whether I was sure about the tip I wanted to give pressuring me into giving him more! Made me and the entire party very uncomfortable.

My partner, myself and our 10 month old stopped here as we were passing. So accommodating and lovely Sundays roasts.

Lovely country pub, good food. Finest chips for miles, great ale. Had ham egg and chips and couldn't fault it. Very generous meal. Wish I had had room for pud......

We were a party of 13, 3 of which were children. The staff were all very helpful and friendly. The food was fabulous we were all very impressed particularly with all the meals coming at the same time. Would very much recommend and would definitely return

Good food (although the chef had the oven turned up to 11 so it was a tad hot!) and a surprisingly enjoyable Cornish stout that I’ll have to keep an eye out for in future. Very friendly staff too.

Called ahead to book a table two days before for a meal and left my name and number. On arrival, we were 30 minutes early to have a drink and were chastised for being late... We don't have a 7.30 slot... But... OK'. Not sure why nobody called me about it if this was an issue. On the table was a plaque telling us the time slots for the table which is off-putting, we felt even more rushed. Food was OK. I enjoyed my meal but I don't feel it was worth the price. When we asked (because we felt rushed) where we could sit to have a drink, we were sent outside... The bar staff were polite and accommodating though. I would not recommend a meal out here.

Food I expected better as we both ordered cod and chips, Fish was on the small size and tasted frozen and still a bit wet on the inside. My wife and I both agreed that we felt we had to eat our food as fast as we could not a very relaxing atmosphere. Table was dirty and I had to ask for it to be cleaned before we had drinks not following protocol on hygiene in these times plus had to ask for a clean fork as my wife's was dirty
