Food wasn't very hot when it came out but due to the air con being on it was cold in no time at all. Many people were asking for the air con to be turned off as we all had to keep our coats on but we were told the staff aren't allowed to touch it! It was freezing in there!!!It was also very expensive for what we got. I ordered scampi and chips (£12) which stated on the menu would come with tartare sauce (it didn't)! Also no lemon or proper garnish which i would expect for that price. A handful of warm mixed leaves doesn't really count! The fizzy drinks were flat and when we mentioned it they said the machine wasn't working but still carried on serving them. Our drinks were replaced with cans and when we complained we were given 20% off and the drinks were freeThe young staff were doing the best they could but seemed overwhelmed.A lady member of staff came up from downstairs to 'help' but her customer service skills were zero!We are local to Looe and sorry to say we won't be going back to Kelly's again.

Having looked at the reviews for a decent fish and chips take away this seemed to be the best option. First impressions were great with a clean shop front and self service kiosks. Upon eating though, I was less than impressed. A large portion of my chips were undercooked (parts of rhe chips were still pretty firm) and there was no salt and vinegar to be tasted, despite selecting the option. To top it off the chips were dry and tasteless for the most part. I don't mind paying a bit more for a decent chip dinner but the prices did not reflect the quality. The best part was the freshly cooked sausage in batter.

Been going to Looe many times and have always passed Kelly's but never given it a try. Whilst having a day out in Looe on a weekend in the depths of January, finding places closed up until mid February made life difficult. Had intended to eat at the Golden Guinea but closed until February 16th.So Kelly's it was. Went upstairs to their restaurant and wow ! What an unexpected surprise. Really didn't expect what I saw. Very modern and clean restaurant area. Table service with really friendly staff. The restaurant menu was missing fishcakes, sausages/savoloys.Went for large cod and chips and the cheese burger and chips. Waiting time for the food 10 to 15 minutes. On arrival it looked amazing.Really nice burger with cheese and bacon and chips. Good portion size. The cod and chips were off the charts in taste. The batter wasn't greasy at all. Light and chrispy. The fish has to be the whitest I've ever seen. Nice chips too. Curry sauce was good, but it did have an accidic aftertaste. Can't recall what the burger cost but the cod and chips were £14 and worth every penny. Also great for warmer times out on a balcony seating area. Good modern clean toilets, plenty of seating in the restaurant. I'd imagine it would be popular during the holidays.I would and definitely am going to go back there. Probably the best fish and chips I've eaten...ever !!!

After a long journey to Cornwall we were in need of something to eat and decided on Fish and Chips. This is a very busy place and there was a bit of a queue. We had a large order for ten people and the girl taking our order was friendly and helpful. We waited about 10 minutes and our order number was called up and we took our food back to our holiday home. Everyone got exactly what they wanted and the food was still hot. We all enjoyed our meal and the portion sizes were very generous. I definitely recommend this Chip shop.

I've been coming here for years, and despite being recently taken under new ownership- the standard hasn't dropped. The chips were cooked fresh and quickly, good choice of additional topping and extras.New self serve kiosks worked well too!service was excellent- nothing too much bother. Took advantage of the brief bout of sunshine to sit outside!Keep up the great work, and see you soon!

Nice fish & chips, freshly cooked & a good size portion.

Ordered cod and chips and these were the chips that came with it!! Supposed to be award winning!! Took them back and all they said were they were having problems with the potatoes!! Won't be going back!!

The best piece of cod I’ve ever had! And I’m really fussy. £9.25 for a large with chips but worth every penny

Quick service. Super popular. Limited seating inside but more tables outside. Really good quality fish and chips. Highly recommend.

2 orders of fish and chips with curry sauce which were delicious. Probably one of the best portions of fish I’ve had not being local. Chips were also impeccable.Disappointed the staff had their masks on theirs chins the whole time I was in the takeaway. Despite this, the staff were friendly.
