King's Arms in Cornwall

Only stopped for 1 night and had great food, drink and service. The room was spotless. Breakfast was delicious. What more could one ask for. Oh, and price was very reasonable. Loved it. There is also parking, which is great.

We spent three nights at this lovely pub and I can’t praise our experience enough.Sitting in a small village with a tight community Just a few minutes outside beautiful Moushole, which on its own offers a range of restaurants an pubs, and no more than 45 minutes from some of Cornwall’s best attractions and stunning coastline.Our room was spacious with a large comfortable bed with a good size shower en-suite, it was also equipped with all the amenities and gadgets you’d expect from any hotel room.All the staff at the Kings Arms couldn’t do enough to help, from offering extremely tasty home cooked food from a comprehensive menu, drinks and wine list, to welcoming you for breakfast with an experienced smile.It’s worth noting a couple of things firstly most of the staff are local and knowledgeable about the area which helps when planning your days out, secondly you are staying in a local pub which means you will hear noises from downstairs, although this is not loud by any means and it didn’t disturb us, if you turn in early or are light sleepers it could bother you.So if you are looking for a friendly, comfortable and more than adequate place to stay, in amongst beautiful surroundings, this is the place for you.

Good menu. Friendly staff. The baked fish dish was delicious. Worth calling in for lunch or dinner.

The portions were generous and the food was really good - when it eventually arrived. The kitchen didn't seem entirely aware of what the menu said (our burgers arrived with coleslaw instead of salad) and the waitresses seemed entirely unaware of what some things on the menu actually were, like they hadn't been briefed about the day's menu! They were very friendly, but were constantly chatting amongst themselves as though we weren't there, which really didn't give a professional impression. Things really didn't seem very organised from the chatter we heard! Also, is £2.60 really the going rate for about half a pint of mixer-tap diet Coke these days?!

The staff were friendly but the food variable and overpriced. A vegetarian rissoto was very small. I complained but only got a small additional bowl. The haddock and chips was good. The chicken burger had little meat and taste. For @15 sounds a throw not good value. The beer of course was fine.

Excellent experience with warm and friendly service. Food very tasty and well presented and very reasonably priced. COVID hygiene absolutely brilliant with constant cleaning of condiments, menus and the option to order electronically with online menu - felt very well looked after with staff who took the cleaning process very seriously.

This pub is athletically pleasing from the inside and out and is in a great location for those wanting to walk to the pub if staying in Paul. On my visit the staff seemed very busy. The food was very average and was lacking in flavour and presentation - this could have been down to kitchen staff being busy as they were ‘fully booked’. Food is very expensive for what it is in my opinion; £14 for a vegetable lasagne which was a bit salty and seemed to have been cooked by microwave seems on the cheeky side to me. As did £5.95 for two chucks of bread and a bowl of tinned olives. I know these small pubs have to make money but I don’t think the food fits the prices they’re charging. In summary - good for a drink but maybe give the food a pass.

Great venue for amazing food and atmosphere with friendly and attentive staff who all go the extra mile to make you feel welcome. Extremely clean and Dog friendly. We were advised to book in advance and would recommend the same as to avoid disappointment

Really beautiful pub food, best vegetarian burger I’ve ever had. You could taste that everything was homemade and the chef is using very fresh ingredients. There was no wait time for our food, even if there was, we would have been happy to wait as the vibe is great! The wait staff were friendly, helpful and so quick with service. Thank you everyone for a lovely evening and thanks again to the chef - great job!

We’re down from London for the week and recommended to come here for dinner by a neighbour. Food was awesome (we tried enough dishes and courses to be sure) and service was exceptionally professional and friendly despite dealing with the professional complainers in tonight! A great little find in a cute village not far from the busier towns!
