Very accommodating for a large party which was nice. Some main courses were tasty and cocktails were good quality.HOWEVER, the tapas menu was severely disappointing and seemed to have not been given much thought. £7 for a small bowl of diced vegetables… criminal! Other dishes were also lacklustre in taste and price, so would definitely recommend not going for any tapas dishes.

2 - 2.5 out of 5. Let down, below acceptable standard this evening and in my opinion restaurant has serious issues (mainly food/kitchen and service)

La Casita offers a reasonably authentic Spanish dining experience but there are a few caveats, cheif among these being the way the owner responds to negative reviews - not even an ounce of professionalism. Absolutely disgraceful. The food was, on average, not too bad. Our starters arrived quickly and were very delicious, however the same can't be said of our mains. My lamb skewer was £25 and came with a single lamb skewer with a small, rather uninteresting salad, two very tiny dips and a serving of very average fries. If I had paid maybe 15 to 18 quid for the meal I might have been satisfied, however the £25 price tag set slightly higher expectations. The lamb was quite dry and overcooked and there wasn't nearly enough sauce to make up for it. Overall, not worth anything like the £25. My partners margherita pizza was bland and very uninteresting. Granted, it's a very basic pizza but that's no excuse for an unseasoned pizza sauce and bland dough base. The pizza left much to be desired. Finally, the dessert wasn't much better. A very dry cake with a rather uninteresting scoop of ice-cream that failed to save it.Overall, the food would be tenable if not for it's high price tags. A £25 main course is a high bar, and sadly La Casita missed the mark on this one.

Delicious paella. I had the seafood paella and the fish was all very fresh and tasty, and the rice had a lovely flavour. Service was very friendly and the restaurant had a lively friendly atmosphere with Spanish music playing. They also managed to fit us in at short notice. I would definitely go back.

My wife and I arrived at 6pm to an empty car park and on entering saw that only one table was occupied. We were surprised then to be told that the restaurant was fully booked and to take a card and maybe book ahead next time. The young lady didn't check to see if a table would be free before say 7pm. Many restaurants even when busy would say a table is reserved at say 7pm but if you like you can stay as long as you leave before then.I guess she knew that all of her tables were reserved before 7pm and there was no chance we could be in and out before then.I have never been turned away from an empty restaurant before.Sadly we left but managed to find a welcoming restaurant nearby.Unbeknown to me my wife left a review which briefly stated that we were surprised to be turned away from an empty restaurant. The owner then responded to say "Get a life".I then looked at a number of other reviews for La Casita. It appears that the food is very good but there are a lot of customers who feel that they have been treated rudely by the staff. This seems to be a consistent trend with your front of house but when the owner is just the same it is no wonder. It is not sufficient to have wonderful food. Customers come to you for an experience.Customers take time out to write a review not for their own personal gain but to reward you or to help you improve.Believe me it is not a good idea to insult those reviewers whether their review is good or bad.

Lovely atmosphere, relaxed and authentic tapas and Mediterranean inspired cuisine. Worth trying the tapas dishes with family or friends. Staff clued up on allergens and specifically gluten free dining for a coeliac 👏🙌💯

Friends had booked a table for two & I tagged along in the hope they could fit me in! The staff were very friendly, attentive & nothing was too much trouble! Food was very tasty & good value for money!👍😁 Photos look orange because the overhead heater was on! 😜

Gorgeous food, lovely staff and great value for money. We were lucky to get a last minute booking due to a cancellation so recommend booking in advance as it was a full house and people were being turned away at the door.

Oh my god! This place is incredible. A fantastic trip to Spain without leaving the comfort of the Cornish coast during this Covid time. The service is friendly and very welcoming from a team who are respectful of distances and all wearing appropriate PPE .The food is to die for, as a party we pretty much tried everything but a personal favourite were the prawns, burger and pizzas.Overall a brilliant place to satisfy ones hunger at the end of a long day. Will 100% return on our next visit to the area.
