La Morran House Gardens Tea Terrace in Cornwall

Beautiful gardens. We visited on a lovely sunny day and the views were stunning. There is so much to see; each twist and turn in the path reveals something new. The garden was beautifully tidy and very well maintained. There are many spots to sit and admire the view or the plants and there is a lovely terrace area to have tea/coffee and cake if you wish. We had a delicious cream tea.The staff were all very helpful and friendly, including the lady we paid going in, the young gardener we met and the lady serving the food and drink.We parked in the main car park in St. Mawes and walked, but there are a few parking spaces on grass verges right outside.One of my favourite gardens I have visited ever and we will definitely be back.I would highly recommend.

Beautiful gardens with friendly staff! An absolute gem, and well worth a visit.

We visited this lovely Mediterranean style garden with a 'nearly' 3 year old who was enchanted by the magical feel of the place. The garden, which is on a hillside, has wonderful views with a maze of different, cleverly interlinked areas, complete with fish, statues, waterfalls and 'hidden places'. There is a well signposted route to make sure you see all of the garden, accessed via gravel paths and steps. We had a lovely lunch on the sunny terrace accompanied by the tame robin. The staff went out of their way to be friendly and accommodating making the visit extra special. Parking is by the side of the road outside the garden.

As both a gardener and a garden visitor, these exquisite gardens were a utter joy and surprise. Utterly un-commercialised, full of secrecy, seclusion and exclusivity. The designer deserves FAR more recognition! Planning surprises and secrecy on gradients takes both skill and thought as, without such skill, one can view all from the high points. The quality of the structures and the stonework was exceptional. The attention to detail was apparent everywhere - even to the design of the numbered signs. We adored everything about these gardens. Robert Dudley-Cooke and your very welcoming gardener (whose name I'm ashamed to say, I've forgotten) deserve medals. I wish you the very best and may you always retain the wonderful characters of this truly charming garden!

I can't convey how magical and amazing this place is, I've been to a lot of stunning gardens, but this one just blew me away! A truly special place, a hidden jewel in beautiful Cornwall. Didn't want to leave! Wonderful cream teas too.

Lovely gardens, great layout of little paths winding their way round the gardens.Very mature plants. Great tea shop with very friendly staff.

Always a pleasure to revisit this glorious exotic garden with estuary views. Steep in places so recommend sturdy footwear. Many seats around to contemplate the flora & take in that view. Lovely terrace area for drinks & light snack. Could always spend more time here but save a little for my next visit.

Amazing garden!! Doesn't feel like you're in England at all. It has a tropical forest feel to it because everything was so close together. Jacob the gardener allowed us entry as we could only come on a day that it was closed, which was really kind and we are so glad he did! Lots of ponds with fish/newts, fountains, waterfalls, and the pergola (I think it's called that) has a particularly stunning view. Lots of plant species for botony fans
