Lakeside Cafe in Cornwall

Great setting and very pleasant interior for an evening meal. Our young teenage male waiter was very professional, made us feel very welcome and made our experience. What about the food? We had heard about the home made pies on the specials board, and that's exact where they should be. Superb. I tend not to eat desserts, but made the exception for the cheese cake. Another not to be missed treat.

The cafe was fully booked but the manager manage to arrange us in as long as we're off before the next table arrives which worked well for us. Burger and sandwich were awesome. Loved the sauce! Would definitely visit again when we come down to Newquay.

Not one for writing reviews but I couldn’t not for this place !£4 for a very generous portion of homemade cake and a very generous sized coffee too! …. Who & where in Cornwall offers that these days ?Lovely place sat inside in comfy chairs over looking the beautiful boating lake.A very warm and friendly welcome and top notch service.I can’t fault anything about this place and visit. I cannot rate highly enough the experience we had at the Lakeside Cafe. I have been a few times before for lunch and enjoyed it, so we made the decision to have our family Christmas meal here, for 21 people.Start to finish they have been absolutely wonderful, so helpful in arranging the menu and food order by email, decorating our table with flowers, Christmas crackers and sequins. They even went to the effort of name settings so that they brought out all of the correct meals for everyone without any confusion.We had several waitresses looking after our table and looked after our every need. And the food was Absolutley wonderful.We will absolutely be coming back here for future meals, and will certainly be recommending for our family and friends.EDIT ** 3 years on and we are back. As expected you were absolutely 5* again. Fantastic at looking after our large party and catering for all the children. Beautiful decorations and table dressings, food and drinks all perfect. Thank you, we love coming back to you!!

Laid back and casual atmosphere. My wife and I only had a coffee but the couch in front of the log burner is lovely this time of year.

Great little cafe, lovely evening meals. I have been many times and have never been disappointed. If you are going for a birthday party, bring some balloons and they will decorate the tables up for you with confetti and lovely decorations either blue or pink depending on the birthday. Ample parking but I would leave a little earlier than planned as you may not get a space right outside of the cafe during peak times. Disabled people may struggle as there are no designated disabled spaces but there is plenty of space around the back, depending on how busy they are. The staff are always very pleasent and the prices are very very fair for the quality of food you get. The lakes around the restaurant are lovely and there is lots of wildlife. Food is amazing.
