Went here yesterday around 6pm but for a sit down meal with my son and stepdad. Not very busy and only 1 other person sitting down to eat, but a few take aways. After sitting and no one serving us for 10-15 minutes, I asked If someone could come and serve us? The man cooking was a bit rude and said they were busy and it would be soon.About 5 mins later a woman came over to take our order and said they had been busy, I replied and said 4 or 5 people had come in after us for take away and been served before us! At this point the cook called out, ‘I’m not cooking anymore food for 30 mins’ !!! What the hell?!? It’s a fish and chip shop! How can you not be cooking anymore food? Obviously didn’t like being questioned about the slow table service? So we got up and left. Poor service and rude staff and will not be using them again. Francines is better food anyway.

Food was "OK" nothing special. Portion size was average but the menu is very hard to comprehend. As far as I can tell it was probably thrown together in an afternoon on Word by a novice.Service was on the slow-side. Took almost 5 minutes to be offered a seat, we obeyed the sign even though it wasn't busy at all.I had a Jacket Potato with Tuna mayo, wife had fish and chips, daughter sausage and chips.WiFi costs extra. In 2022. Yep, you're gonna lose points for that these days. It's BT WiFi so I guess if you're a BT customer it's free, but this is not what I would expect. Also, ketchup served in Heinz bottles but doesn't taste like Heinz to us. Very cheeky if it's not real Heinz. It may have been imported as the language on the back wasn't English.

My girlfriend and I came here before watching Ed Byrne at Launceston town hall. We didn’t reserve a seat but were still able to eat in, which I was really pleased about (I was prepared and happy to take away).Staff were really friendly and the service was excellent, really attentive.I ordered a medium cod and chips with a can of Dr Pepper, my girlfriend had “the fryers special” (medium cod and chips with mushy peas, bread and butter and a pot of tea). I was jealous of hers as it was amazing value really. The chips were really nice and the cod was really hot when it came to us so was obviously freshly cooked. I was a little disappointed by the size of the cod - it was a bit long and thin, but that’s not entirely the shop’s fault I guess as they all come in different sizes and shapes. Overall a nice experience and I’d definitely go there again.

Lovely, friendly staff. Epic fish and chips. We visited for our last dinner out, of our holiday. Friendly young girl greeted us and showed us to our table. Drinks came quickly after ordering. The dinners didn't take long to come after ordering. The fish was the freshest and tastiest I have eaten in a long time. The chip portion could have been slightly bigger but the curry sauce was delicious. I was disappointed not to have home-made tartare sauce on offer, as the Heniz sachet was not good, but the yummy dinner made up for that. When we asked for the bill a lovely older lady asked how our food was. She gave my two children a small packet of sweets and a glow stick bracelet, which was so kind. If we didn't live three hours away, we'd be visiting again really soon. Absolutely loved the place! 🐟
