Lewis Fish and Chips in Cornwall

Excellent Haddock & Chips - fish freshly cooked to order, batter was crispy, fish was delicious. Friendly and efficient service.

Called in for cod and chips after visiting Mousehole and Newlyn Christmas Lights. The food was cooked to order so very fresh and the batter was light, bubbly and delicious. Will definitely call again.

Needs cleaning, it smelt horrendous in there, could do with an update there is rust on the counter top. Almost walked out but we needed to grab some food quickly, and it was busy and reviews say its great. The chicken was very very dry, the chips were OK. Even at the end of a long day a certain quality of customer service is required too.

Amazing fish and chips, must say the batter on the fish was really good! They had speedy service despite being busy. Highly reccomend.

This is one of the best chippies in Newlyn, as you can expect the fish is amazing and is freshly cooked whilst you wait in the most crispy and delicious light batter. Parking is nonexistent so make sure you allow for this and expect to queue to place your order and again to pick it up. The staff are very efficient so you won't be waiting long. Closes around 8pm, so make sure your in the queue before then and you'll be fine. However don't expect a full menu near the end of the day as this is a very popular place (pardon the pun). Cards are now accepted so a bonus . Make sure you make time for a visit, you will not be disappointed.

OMG BEST EVER fish n chips . Queues long some days but worth the wait. Try the crispy chicken too....no words can describe. Lovely staff too. Highly recommend

Don’t understand the good reviews. Soggy chips, unremarkable fish from a shop that looks like it hasn’t been cleaned in years. If we hadn’t been starving we wouldn’t have eaten it. Try Jeremys for fish and chips instead or if you can afford it, the amazing Mackerel fish bar across the road.

Wonderful fish and chips!We stopped for fish and chips for lunch just before the shop closed at 14.00. Even so, our fish and chips were freshly cooked to order. They weren't taken from a warming cabinet. We had to wait a few minutes but it was well worth it.Some of the best fish and chips I've ever tasted. Definitely recommended.

First time trying here and not disappointed. Decent prices for the portion you get. Food tastes lovely!

Great chippy.We were in Cornwall for a week and had to have fish & chips before we left.We found this gem which did not fall into the trap of other chippys and doing kebabs and fried chicken and kept to a relatively simple fish, chip & burger menu.I ordered lemon cod & chips and my partner had chips with curry sauce & mushy peas.The staff were pleasant and some regulars were also served while we waited and there seemed to be a good spirit going on.We took our meal to the flat and the chips were still warm, I hadn’t had lemon cod before and it was delicious and the chips were pale but cooked well and tasty.Overall recommend this chippy and worth a visit to those in the area.
