A truly delightful restaurant with a relaxed, friendly atmosphere and spectacular food. The menu provides a chance to explore the exciting possibilities of a range of flavours and ingredients, all perfectly cooked and absolutely delicious. We had to wait 4 months to get a table, but it was worth it!

Wonderful experience at Number Eight 🥂 The whole evening was so well choreographed and every dish and drink pairing was delightful. A real treat for us and worth every penny. You can really see the attention and passion that Chloe and Josh have put into the restaurant, and I hope that it continues to receive the support and praise it deserves.

How many superlatives can I use.......amazing, different and would be a well deserved Michelin stat? It was spotlessly clean and owner v friendly. The tastes were incredible along with all the little surprises on the way.

My wife and I decided on a short break to Devon, and were lucky enough to stumble across Number Eight. Called and found they had a table available during our stay.We were delighted with both the quality of food and service. The restaurant is run by a young couple "Chloe & Josh" and the fact that they have earned the number 1 restaurant in Bideford is not a surprise. If you're heading to the West Country book a table here, you wont be disappointed. Josh is so inventive the little extras such as the pre-desert wow!! Keep up the good work guys and we'll be back very soon.

A really pleasant evening meal the like of which hasn't been available in Bideford or maybe North Devon for a long time. Fine dining isn't for everyone so don't expect a big bowl of chips with your meal and make sure you have a dessert too! Extra little courses make it a very special event, give this place a try!

No exaggeration when I say tonight I've had the best meal I've had in a very long time at Number Eight. Of all 4 courses I had I don't have a single criticism. Josh and Chloe are faultless and I will recommend the restaurant to everyone I know!
