Mandarin Garden Chinese Restaurant in Cornwall

Myself and wife was looking for somewhere for a meal and stumbled across this restaurant. We went in and a lady greeted us straight away and showed us to table, service was fantastic food was amazing and freshly cooked and very large portions. The gentleman owner was funny and friendly will highly recommend

A lovely restaurant with a family run vibe. We visited with kids and they were treated so nicely, even given a lollipop at the end of the meal. The food was great, we all had a lovely time. Thanks for having us, we will be back!

We arrived just when it opened for lunch, I went to the toilet and the chef or staff was smoking out the back, THAT IS DISCUSTING,After having one spoon full of chicken and sweet corn soup our Family of 5 complained about the soup not tasting right, we were told by the small male Chinese waiter with a limp it's our taste buds and we needed to get a covid test?? (bearing in mind two out of the family are front line hospital staff)The soups were replaced and the taste was lovely, unfortunately the Chinese staff or owners did not want to talk to us and we had black looks right up until we left,COME ON MANDERIN GARDEN, you are so much a better restaurant than this,

Really good food. Managed to get a walk in table and service straight away. The food was amazing, one of the best Chinese meals I've had. Will definitely be returning. Good choice on menu and reasonable prices.

Christmas shopping in Truro, all the trendy eateries full and street food vendors have ques a mile long, stumbled upon this place for dinner. Expectations low due to lack of custom and untrendy 80s style but goodness me! Outstanding food and service at a very reasonable price!Definitely recommend!

Great experience there today,was the first time going there and had the lunchtime deal,food was excellent and the service was excellent even that they were busy.Thank you to all and we will be coming again more frequently.

Love going here, I mean £7.50 for a 2 course lunch deal is brilliant. Alot of other small business could take a leaf out of there book, keep the prices down to keep turnover and profits coming in all the time. Thanks for the great food.

Friendly and welcoming, got sat straight down, ordered the lunch deal and it was beautiful. Best Chinese I've had and great value. Wish I lived closer as this would be my regular chinese 🙂

I ordered a takeaway today from Mandarin Garden and to say I was disappointed is an understatement. The Bang Bang chicken was just cold, plain sliced chicken covered in salad cream (see image). The wontons were just twists of cold pastry without any discernible filling. The BBQ ribs were cold and fatty. The quarter duck was very dry. The beef chow mein was grey and lifeless. I'm quite shocked to have received such a poor meal given the past positive reviews. I won't be ordering from here again
