Mermaid Inn in Cornwall

We had a lovely evening meal here. It was busy but the service was great. The chicken burger with the pretzel bun was delicious. We will be back when we come down to Cornwall in the summer.

Fabulous staff that were so accommodating of us. Really enjoyed the quiz on Friday night so returned for carvery on Sunday to not be disappointed, if you can make it book now outstanding Sunday carvery you will not be disappointed

First visited here for prawn sandwiches over Christmas, and said we'd have to visit again, as they were delicious! Went to the pub quiz on Friday evening; good laugh; good atmosphere; fabulous staff; and yummy drinks (great gin selection!)We booked for the carvery on Sunday - omg!! The best roast ever! An absolute must. Very well organised; everything is homemade (the turkey literally melts in your mouth; and the stuffing is the best ever!) Fabulous location on beautiful Porth Beach. Will be back in the summer! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Had fish and chips here in Feb 2022 - delicious. Had fish and chips, and a very tasty burger today, April 2022 - delicious. Great food for a very reasonable price (which is more than can be said for the Beach Hut and Wax in Watergate! - avoid those places at all costs). We experienced one slightly flouncy waitress but the rest of the team were incredibly helpful, friendly and happy to please. Compliments again to the chef. We'll definite be back soon!

Picture this... It's a sunny early spring day but it's by no means warm! You head into the pub for a quick refreshment and to get out the wind. The staff greeting you are friendly and welcoming, and the smell of slowly roasting meats and a Sunday carvery greet you... It's irresistible! Fantastic food here and a great relaxed atmosphere, also directly situated on the beach with a great view, perfect with a pint!

Been coming here 3 years, always been lovely. Decided to come for lunch today, woman in the cardigan (who works here) was making snide comments. Miserable staff, as if everything is a problem. price of food gone up considerable amount. Fish tasted really fatty. Only best bit was the chips tasted amazing. Overall rubbish dinner out.

Staff were friendly and welcoming, it's dog friendly and at a lovely location for winter or summer. The food was good although no option for steak sauces with streak. It was quiet but I think this was due too off season. Good value for money too!

We've been coming here for years and years. But since lockdown it seems to have really gone downhill. Which is a shame as we were looking forward having lunch there but they weren't even serving till 3pm so we left pretty disappointed because we were looking forward to eating there after so long.

If you can, phone ahead and reserve a table. We ate here twice. All meals were enjoyed by our family. We stayed for the quiz on Friday night and really enjoyed ourselves. Bit of a late finish but hey, we were on holiday 😉 all the staff were fab, food was tasty, yes it's a bit dated in places but that didn't matter to us. Eat, drink and enjoy each others company! 😁

Lots of outside tables overlooking the beach. Food and drink is ordered through an app which takes a bit of getting used too but is just a sign of the times. The staff were really friendly and the food is great!
