Mevagissey Bay Hotel & Restaurant in Cornwall

Had a fantastic stay in the Mevagissey bay hotel. The rooms are clean, very comfortable and the location is absolutely beautiful. The hosts were wonderful but my fave part was the fantastic breakfast buffet! Would definitely come back. :)

Fantastic service, food and room. Well worth a return visit

This is a lovely hotel and the views are stunning. The owner and his staff were very warm, friendly and helpful. The breakfast was excellent with a good choice on offer and everything was cooked to perfection. The room was very clean with tea and coffee making facilities provided, this also included biscuits. We would definitely recommend this hotel.

Lovely hotel with great views across the Portmellon cove. Easy walking distance into Mevagissey - but allow a bit longer on the way back!Wonderful breakfast. Bar prices not exorbitant and bar snacks likewise.

Just stayed for 1 wk (room 7) fantastic view over the bay, the hotel is lovely cannot fault it at all everywhere spotless clean, comfy bed fresh water & biscuits daily along with towels tea coffee etc if needed staff/ management very helpful & professional nothing was to much trouble for them, breakfast lovely plenty to choose from, Fitz you are a star Thx for all the advice on where to walk.Would definitely recommend

We stayed in room 11, it was very clean and the patio was a delight to sit on and enjoy the fab view. The staff and owners could not do enough to for us, and breakfast was amazing!We will definitely be returning!! Thank you.

What a pleasant and welcoming hotel. The owners obviously know what they are doing and their staff have either been trained at the Ritz or just really enjoy what they are doing. Rooms are traditional & clean with great attention to detail making the stay enjoyable. The bathrooms, whilst hopefully the next inline for an update, where clean and spacious. It's all about the small touches, like providing their own RO filtered water - genius, and the best we've had in a hotel. Can't really comment on the breakfast, but it seemed the standard affair and probably given the same level of care as the whole business. Amazing views. Driving to this hotel means navigating through the narrow streets of the village full with tourists. I will visit again.

Just got back from a fantastic stay at the Mevagissey Bay Hotel. John was a fantastic host and the Covid arrangements were spot on. The room was lovely with a large bathroom and it was spotlessly clean. The view over the bay was a pleasure to wake up to and so was the inclusive breakfast ! The service from all parties was attentive and reassuringly competent and we were made to feel very comfortable throughout our stay. We hope to be back soon.

My husband paid for this with our joint account. I have no idea how much it was, and quite frankly, I don’t care. It was worth it.The owners were friendly (and funny), breakfast was faultless ( I’m not generally a breakfast person, and I know people often expect a fry up of sorts. I’m afraid that’s not my bag, but I can tell you the fruit salad, yoghurt and coffee were on point - they even had oat milk)The RO water in the bedroom was a really nice touch, and when we asked for a second bottle, it was waiting outside our door on our return.They have two Tesla chargers outside which is nice little bonus. Shame our car didn’t arrive in time for our visit...Just read a few negative reviews about the parking and access - let’s be honest, this is going to be an issue ANYWHERE in Mevagissey. Just take your time to park slowly and carefully, don’t rush around, make space for other cars. It’s not the hotel’s fault. We have a BIG car, we fitted in the end space. You can manage too.

We stayed in August, and it was brilliant. The John and the staff were wonderful, and very welcoming. The view from our room was incredible. Sitting outside, with my partner and a Korev in hand, watching the sun drop was a perfect way to end a day. We'd highly highly recommend, and look forward to staying again.
