Delicious (huge) bacon brie and cranberry sandwich on granary bread, with a very tasty side salad. Lovely cornish coffee and the cakes look amazing. Nice warm welcome!

Lovely location. Great staff, cake n coffee. What's not to like. Scenic little village with a car park right at the cafe.

❤ stumbled upon this treasure and spent 3 days going back for the coffee, cakes and incredible food. The soups are delicious (3 choices 😊)had a seafood gratin with prawns and scallops which was incredible with greens cooked to perfection alongside. Then beef provençal with olives, big portion, and just wow. Had the amazing banana cake, the coffee cake and the orange cake, all gorgeous. They have a great barista to make the perfect coffees. And finally the staff....professional and friendly and hard working. What a find. Well done to The Peppercorn Cafe.

A massive drinks menu, a limited lunch menu and a good breakfast menu. The food is very good, especially loved the granary bread. Potions good size and staff are helpful and polite. It was quiet when we arrived (early March) so was surprise to be declined all the full breakfast options at 11.40am / but menu does say breakfast stops at 11.30am. Even a bacon roll caused issues, yet bacon and brie was available for lunch. Then 30 minutes later one of party arrived and ordered sausage, egg and bacon on bread. Can understand the places that stop breakfast orders to focus on lunch, but lunch options here are limited. Seemed excessively rigid to not do all day breakfast when lunch options limited. Will try Cabin next time if not in time for breakfast as more lunch choice.

Amazing cafe, had the most amazing chickpea, sweet potato and chorizo soup followed by the BIGGEST slice of Bakewell tart. Tasty, fresh food, really good prices and smiley, chatty happy staff. 😊 And the beach looked beautiful too
