Only went for a drink & my friend asked what non alcoholic drinks they had & all they offered was Becks Blue! Where we had been for lunch earlier had a large variety including Cider & Gin. Lovely to sit out in the sunshine by the river though

Worth a visit. Good food. Sitting outside watching the river amble away with a drink in hand is unbeatable. Intend staying there in the summer and doing local walks. Waiting for a nice Sunday dinner.

5 bits of calamari straight out of a freezer £7•50. Lamb roaststraight out of a freezer and just 4 small bits. Really really disappointed

Had been here several times over the years and so hoped it would be as good as in past times. Turned out to be a disappointment. Slow service - staff apparently untrained. The food was not hot enough - strange plates!?!? Not likely to go again.

Enjoying our stay dog friendly and staff very helpful. Our room was warm comfortable and clean. Recommend a visit.

Unfortunately I was fishing on the other side of the river and it would have been very tempting to pop in for a beer and something to eat. Looked very inviting! And it was very good when I went in there for a works dinner although that was probably 30 years ago :'D

Fantastic tasty food in a lovely peaceful setting by the river. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly. Would highly recommend to anyone, definitely worth the drive!

We booked a room at short notice and primarily as dog friendly accommodation was available. Price was 90£ for B&B plus 15£ surcharge for the dog.The Dog Friendly accommodation is an annex to the side of the hotel. Our first room, the mattress on the bed was broken, after complaining we were given an alternative room. This room like the first was shabby to say the least. The Venetian blinds were broken, the door had a large crack that one could see daylight through, the laminate floor is blown and worn in various areas. The chair ( room 8 ) was filthy, cup handle cracked, entrance and main ceiling lights didn’t work. The reviews and photos are of the main hotel, and it looks fabulous, had we known where we were to be accommodated we would never have booked, favouring good old Travel Lodge. We are most disappointed and could not recommend this establishment especially if you are travelling with your, well behaved non shedding quiet dog!The service is, as advertised slow, but staff are friendly and the food was satisfactoryOnly plus point bathroom is clean apart from cobwebs. Most disappointed.

Stayed the night in a dog friendly chalet, room was warm and cosy when we first went in, the heated towel rail warmed the entire room up so much we opened the windows to cool it down!Breakfast was very filling and plenty of options! Sat in the bar area as we had our dog, but that wasn't an issue as the breakfast was table service! Would deffo recommend staying!

The food here is lovely and it's a well decorated and in great surroundings. The dessert menue was great and lots options for gluten free with good knowledge about how to do this. There isn't an extensive choice on the main menu in general though but food is yum! Not cheap to eat but good for special occasions. Staff were fantastic by the way and excellent service, really friendly
