Port and Starboard in Cornwall

Gluten free Cod & Chips were outstanding,batter was melt in the mouth. Best batter I've ever had. Can't even begin to describe how outstandingly awesome the battered cream egg & clotted cream ice-cream was.

We came for dinner yesterday evening with our two children. Our youngest slipped off her chair and hurt her mouth on the table. The manager and all of her staff could not have been more helpful, she came over to offer first aid straight away and offered both of our children free icecream which was very kind. The food was also top notch. Thank you again for your kindness it was very much appreciated.

The BEST fish and chips we've ever had..!!Absolutely 110%..The fish was huge and perfectly cooked..Every thing was excellent and very fairly priced...Staff were very friendly and extremely helpful...If you are not local, make a special trip here, you won't be disappointed...We traveled over from the North coast and will definitely be back again soon..Many thanks to you all X from the Lovelocks

I highly recommend this place for it's quality food and quick service. The staff are all very friendly and it's very clean and tidy. I had a large haddock and chips which was massive and it was absolutely the best piece of fish I've had in a long time

Went yesterday for large fish & chips £17 each. We both didn’t enjoy it, there was no bread and butter, bottles of pop wasn’t cold. I find it overpriced with very young staff almost running the place ( obviously cheap wages) I think this has gone right down hill from being taken over from the previous owners. We will not be returning. We will find an alternative.

Herd of this takeaway years ago but never been. We were disappointed, chips were nice, peas ok, but the fish was quite tasteless!!! I have cooked better from Tesco fish stall. Won't be going again, I will stick to Chinese.

Missed the turning going to Redruth yesterday doubled back and saw a sign for Port And Starboard chip shop. Stopped in car park was served and back out in 3 minutes. Best fish and chips I have had for a long time. The fish was chunky ,and batter was how I like it crispy but smooth on the inside chips were nice and hot and just the right amount of salt and vinegar highly recommend this place. Hope I can find this place again sometime soon.

Absolutely amazing food. Can order ahead of time online and pay, then when you pull up a lovely member of the team comes out to the car, asks for your name on the order and brings it out to you. Super fast and efficient service and excellent value for money. Ordered cod and oh my, the portion was huge

A fifteen minute wait in the cold for unseasoned, bland, undercooked chips and halloumi fries that have been for a long swim in grease. Would not recommend!

Cracking place to eat. Beautiful and clean. Staff super friendly (did mix our order up a little) but helped sort our orders out.Super fresh and tasty. Loved it will be back.
