Absolutely fabulous lunch today, on the farm. Can't recommend too highly. Burrata, Moules, Scallops, Red Mullet Arancini, Hake with Canellini Beans, Sourdough, Portuguese Blush. Delicious. Great service. Looking forward to new facility with indoor loos.

Great food and really friendly service. We loved the small and intimate feel of the place, but with lively/youthful music and vibe that meant it didn't feel at all stuffy. The food was a little slow, not somewhere to come if you're in a hurry.

The food on show here is phenomenal, such great produce and fantastic culanary vision. The whole menu is a highlight to me fantastic staff and great atmosphere with a selection of drinks for all tastes, will be going back 100 per cent.

We were served a fish beautifully cooked, but big enough for four people, and we were only 2. A real waste of food and money. Then we were asked to vacate our table, as it was booked again at 6pm. But strangely it was only our table that was booked, not the one for 4 that had been empty all afternoon. Or others that were vacant. Although the food was great, I won't be returning, or recommending.

Service great staff all really friendly and helpful with us. Bloke convinced us to try out first oysters raw and deep fried. Then scallops, tempura cod, crab keema and prawn on the Lawn were absolutely delicious, the sides were excellent too, very expensive but oh well experiences are worth tenfold what money is at the end of the day.

Went with my wife and 7 month old boy. Didn’t inform the restaurant at the time of booking. The staff were friendly and accommodating and moved our original table so that a high chair could be placed next to our table (this is a small/cramped restaurant!).The menu varies daily, but that adds to the charm of the restaurant and excitement. Rest assured it’s all wonderful! We had the soda bread with seaweed butter (lovely), the fried oysters, Seared tuna, scallops in delicious Thai basil sauce, Szechuan prawns (yum), spicy potatoes, John Dory whole fish (perfectly cooked), and caramel pot with ice cream. It was all just perfect. Staff were friendly, enthusiastic, considerate, happy to have kids, and helpful. If you want a bit of food heaven you won’t be disappointed coming here.

Punching above it’s weight in the seaside town of Padstein, it doesn’t get more convivial than this. The environs are cosy as in a we’re sitting around a barrel in a fishmonger’s kitchen kind of way.Make no mistake seafood is challenging. Pleasing everyone is difficult. On one hand you have fruits de mer served on a platter of ice while on the other we have dishes that delight without overwhelming the star of the show. If you’re not squeamish about prodding what goes on your plate then you yourself can select the clearest eyed and reddest gill piscine produce this side of the seashore. Be prepared as some of the crustaceans can nip back. The mackerel was a revelation. It had umami without being overly unctuous. I sensed charcoal flavours on the crunchy skin but did not see a BBQ grill in the kitchen. Order 2 so you don’t have to share. They eschewed beer batter in preference to tempura and my son’s hake was the better for it.My wife and I are still talking about that seafood stew. It was recommended by another patron and as we were tucking into it with gusto, saw others observing us and uttering that infamous line from ‘When Harry met Sally’.The waitstaff are absolute jewels but not magicians. Book early. I hear tables are still available in 2020.

Food and wine quality is excellent and so is the service. The space is small and gives a lovely intimate atmosphere.

Excellent seafood with great service from friendly staff. Make sure to make a booking as it gets popular. Highly recommended when in Padstow rather than one of Rick Steins venues

Very hit and miss.....Booked 5 days in advance, when we arrived the seats were against a tiny bar style table with such limited space, the reason I went there was to order the lobster but no way could I have even attempted eating this in such small confines so reduced to ordering small plates of there food.. the food was very nice i will conceed the prawns very good!! My other issue was they had an open style kitchen which is a great idea nice to watch your food being made, only one of there chefs had a huge beard but was wearing no 'beard net' or anything like that and for me this was very very off putting, to see this sweaty beard hanging over all the food he was preparing wasn't great!!! Tbh the whole experience wasent for me and don't think I'd visit again but if you like the whole hipster fresh fish idea maybe this is more for you..
