Proper Ansome Cafe in Cornwall

Great food, just a touch slow on service and no instructions on how to order

What a gem this place is. 4 adults 3 dogs stopped for breakfast on our way home from Cornwall. Lovely food, lovely staff. Read other reviews when looking for somewhere to stop, couldn't pass this place by. So glad we never. 5star.

Need Vegan options it's 2022 not 1976, to not have basic vegan sausages vegan bacon dairy free butter, and to be offered a jacket potato for breakfast is not good enough

The name says it all. Proper good breakfast with coffee. Not to much of a wait considering how busy it was . Well done .

(sorry for the late review) Not a dine in experience but we had Lisa and her team cater for our evening wedding buffet at Roadford Lake in July. Lisa and her team were great and were happy to accommodate our choice of food! At a reasonable price. No-one could dare say they went hungry with the amount of food that was offered. Lisa was happy to work with and come up with different serving suggestions to combat the COVID rules at the time. Guests were taking goodie bags for the journey home........ it was scrumptious!!!!!Thanks again Lisa to you and the team.

Very clean and tidy, friendly staff. Breakfast was ok, the sausages and bacon were lovely. My only gripe was the the hash browns were greasy I had to mop up with a serviette and there was something weird about the tomato sauce, like it was thin and lacked colour and flavour.

Called to ask if dogs were allowed in the cafe and was told yes, well behaved dogs were welcome, so I said we'd be along in half an hour. When we arrived they had tables ready for us, and a friendly welcome. It was our last day of holiday and we were there for breakfast before starting our long journey home - the food was great, freshly cooked to order and great quality. Our party had a mix of traditional breakfasts, eggs on toast, egg & bacon muffins, and omelet - everything was delicious. Plentiful parking too, which was handy as there were 4 cars between us. We would definitely go back if we're in the area again.

The location isn’t quite right on Google maps, almost as if the owners don’t want the tourists to find it 🤔😂 anyway, my wife didn’t think I needed the ‘Full Porker’ but 15 minutes later I proved her wrong.This is a proper full English (Cornish?) breakfast with local sausage and bacon and the freshest fried eggs, will be stopping off here every time we come back to Cornwall 👍✅
