This may not be the most sophisticated establishment but the food is truly amazing.I had steak and ale pie, my partner had gammon. Both really nice so we had toffee and pecan cheesecake with salted caramel ice cream. Nicest cheesecake ever!!!Totally recommend.

Well recommendedHad dinner here whilst on holiday. Service was very good, welcoming staff, prompt service with drinks and food. Food quality was very good and deserts delicious. Definitely go again if in the area. wish we had known as some nights there is music on the stage in the gardenWord of warning If you are thinking of going at peak period ring to book first, we rang about 3 hours before we went and on arrival were seated straight away, people who just turned up were having to wait 1 hour

Lovely place. We stopped here as was looking for somewhere that did a carvery. We thought it was good value for money as u could also get a dessert included. Which we were so full up we had it in a takeaway box. Carvary was nice. It would of been nice if u had someone cutting the meat at the start and not picking slices out a tin but it was still lovely all the same. A big no no for me was they brought out my boys cutlery salt and pepper in a plastic bag which I thought was a bit tacky. But overall I would visit again

Would go back as a last resort, food ok, service alright even though got our drinks wrong. Not keen on carvery as didn't get option of going back for more veg, potatoes, gravy, etc. The carvery set up was not the same as usual carverys.

We had a party of 13 people for Mothering Sunday (one of our party is vegan, the other is gluten free vegetarian). I have to say, everyone was catered for with a very extensive menu (which is normally very tricky with our dietary requirements)! All the food came out at the same time and was hot…very good portion sizes…value for money…the staff were very helpful, friendly and accommodating too. I would highly recommend.Thank you to all the staff.

We came to the Quintrell Inn for Mother’s Day, with a group of 13, ages from 2 up to 84!Including a vegan and a gluten-free person. Tall order you think? Not for the staff at the Quintrell, They were super-efficient and friendly, nothing was too much trouble.Food was great, tasty, well-cooked, good value and impressively, all the covers came out at the same time.Really cannot fault this place and we will be returning soon!

Unfortunately, I can't leave a no star review so 1 star will have to do.Initially being told that there was a 1 hour wait on food was absolutely fine. All other diners around us were also told the same. After about 20 minutes, all the other diners had, had their main course. We waited over an hour, asking a member of staff on an update on food due to us having 2 children getting impatient. The male member of staff was rude, explaining that he wasn't the chef and it was an hours wait. We fully appreciate that, however, when the food finally arrived, the children's pizza were cheap microwave pizzas, fries were rock hard to the point that they flew off the plate whilst trying to put your fork in them. The fish was dry, steak had been left standing, which ended up like rubber! To top it off, the cutlery and condiments were given to us in a plastic food bag. I have never experienced such poor service or poor food ever before whilst visiting Cornwall! Will certainly be avoiding this place in the future!

Came for the carvery and had off the menu instead. The fish salad, ribs and pie were all very good. The service was very good and very quick, which was impressive considering how busy it was.Puddings were amazing!Stayed after as there was live music on outside for free, very good evening/night out! Highly recommend.
