Been trying to get in here for a while but is always busy. So booking is essential. We walked in mid afternoon in April plenty of room. Despite being quite the food was nice. Staff pleasant and helpful. Atmosphere is relaxed. Car park fee is taken off the bill so in effect is free. The car park is very undulating and could be difficult to cross if you have low mobility.

Nice pub with good outdoor space. Good choice for just a drink or food, and the staff are friendly and helpful. The car park is a cash only pay & display, but the tickets have a tear-off slip which you can give to the bar staff when ordering in order to receive a refund of your parking fee.

Absolutely amazing service! After a chilly visit to the beach we decided to have tea and a cheeky drink and it was the best decision! Super friendly staff even after I spilled my wine, luckily where I come from its very good luck to spill wine on the first day of the month!Thank you!Highly recommended!

Great food. Super accessible for disabled clients if being dropped off. A popular bar though so not too good for those with mobility impairment moving to toilets etc. If you are looking to feel COVID secure, give it a miss. Bar staff slow but wort the wait for great beer and a good range of St Austell ales.

Food was excellent! Nice pub with lots of space, very friendly staff and reasonably priced food. We had the wrap and the fish and chips light meals. Good value for £!Only problem was that the baby change toilet is so badly set up that I almost had an accident with our six month old whilst trying to juggle the change table which sits on top of the bin, and hold the baby safely. Bin needs to be moved for easier disposal access so that you don’t have to lift the table up to get to it mid change.

Excellent place to stop for a meal or to grab a pint in the very picturesque village of Charlestown. First class menu. Pub is very well presented and modern. Staff are very pleasant and attentive. Great selection of ales. Can't go wrong and we'll worth a visit if you are in the area

Great place to stay and eat and what a bonus being dog friendly. It's that nice a place to stay we have booked again for this August. And a big thanks to Kasper for looking after Ella our elderly staffy. See you soon.

Our room was above the entrance, due to single glazing the room was very noisy and due to trouble outside I was unable to sleep.. Secondary glazing needs to be sorted in this room. Breakfast and our meal was very good. The staff were nice and the rooms were clean. But unfortunately did not relax due to the room noise.

Went to dinner here before visiting tunnel of lights. Nice friendly pub/restaurant, good menu choices. Service a bit slow but probaby down to limited staff but we weren't in a hurry. Friendly staff took time to help even under pressure. Food excellent will visit again x

One of my favorite pubs in St Austell. Ate here with friends over the festive period and it didn't disappoint. Good choice of gluten free options for my wife and the staff were helpful and attentive. Highly recommended.
