River Life Cafe and Bistro in Cornwall

Recently had breakfast at the Riverlife Cafe. Impressed by the location next to the River. Plenty of parking and close to Bude Rugby Club for enthusiasts. Excellent service and fresh food expertly cooked. Well priced and welcoming. Highly recommended.

Some of the best food I’ve had in a long time!I went for lunch with my auntie. I was early so I popped in to get a drink and when I came outside, all the tables had been taken. Fortunately, there was one table left inside. It was a little cramped and warm indoors, but it wasn’t too bad. I’m gluten free and I ordered the bacon, Brie and cranberry gluten free sandwich. My auntie got the goats cheese, Mediterranean veg and pesto sandwich. I checked when I arrived that they had gluten free bread (my back up was a jacket potato), however when I ordered, the server returned and said they didn’t have any and asked if a GF wrap would be okay. I said this was fine, and when it came, it was a sandwich. The server offered my sandwich to my auntie, claiming it was the goat’s cheese sandwich, despite the visible cranberry sauce. I said I thought they were the other way round, as the other sandwich had visible pesto. At this point, I asked (to confirm) if mine was on gluten free bread, and the server wasn’t sure and had to return to the kitchen to check. Other than this slight hiccough, the food and drink were lovely and it was a pleasant visit. I would recommend this cafe, but I’m not so sure about it for anyone with serious allergies and there was some confusion

Popped in for lunch. Hadn't booked but they found us a table. Very friendly, helpful staff. It might seem a strange thing to say but it honestly was the best jacket potato I've ever had!!! 😍

Fairly caff style but food lovely and good value. Pleasant staff

A lovely, welcoming cafe with a spotlessly clean and pleasant interior. The cooked breakfast and sandwiches were really good, and good value too. Those of us with dietry peculiarities are well catered for and staff are particularly helpful.

Love going here! The atmosphere is relaxed, staff welcoming and attentive and the food is always delicious! Also they do the best chai lattes in Bude!

A hidden gem. Lovely Cafe we found by chance whilst walking along the toll path. Staff are very friendly and welcoming. All the food is homemade and the cheese scones were amazing, the cream tea was excellent. Well worth a visit, we will definitely be back.

Nice place to sit for a hot drink or lunch after a walk by the canals and nature reserve. Vegetarian options. I had salad baguette. Very filling. Dog friendly and has 1 unisex toilet that is clean and spacious.

Stopped off for an afternoon tea, nice place with good prices and service.

Lovely local cafe, great english breakfast, decent coffee ;)) Very lovely staff and quiet, sunny place :)
