Route 39 in Cornwall

It's pretty much what you would expect. The staff are friendly and obliging, there is a good variety of family fare plus something for a hotter palate, but the food could be better cooked. It's possible that they do better when it's busier. The chicken we got was slightly overcooked and dry and one of our party pointed out that much of the food seemed greasy. The cooking oil may have been old.

Ordered a cheeseburger with fries. Cheeseburger was very plain, no salad or sauce, just beef with cheese. Fries were soggy and seemed like an afterthought. Not what I expected from an American themed restaurant. In addition to that, the burger had a weird charred/burnt bit that fell off the meat, while the meat itself wasn’t burnt.I wouldn’t recommend this place and won’t be returning.

I have been eagerly awaiting going to Route 39 for the past five years or so. Having finally convinced my family we should go we were left disappointed. The food was lovely and no issues however, the service was well below expectations. It was a quiet night with less than half the restaurant full. The time it took to order and have the food delivered was acceptable, and the food was tasty and hot. The issues started when we finished. After waiting 20 minutes with dirty plates we asked to order dessert, it took a further 10 minutes to then have the table cleared and ask for our dessert choices. Having not seen the menu and with half the party in the toilet we couldn't order. After waiting a further 10-15 minutes with no sign of our waiter we decided to leave, it was at this point when we had stood up and sorted ourselves out they came over. It was hugely disappointing. With children in our party we were really wanting to be fairly quick, but with expectations it does take time. We won't be returning anytime soon sadly. If you have time constraints I would avoid.

Visited Route 39 in Wadebridge whilst at around the town on the 26/03/22.Ordered the big breakfast, large coke and to finish the waffles with lemon and sugar.Very quiet in the restaurant, very few in there eating. Was seen to promptly and given a table by the windows.Order taken quickly and lot too long wait for the food to arrive.The big breakfast looked very nice on first impressions. Eggs cooked perfectly nice and runny, bacon looked and tasted good. Not greasy or fatty. Hash browns were ok but did taste slightly greasy. Nice fried bread. Didn't want beans so can't say how they were.But the sausages were the main disappointing factor. Very greasy and mushy. Tasted and looked like the cheap cafe one's. No flavour at all.The waffles with sugar and lemon, with whipped cream and vanilla ice cream made up for it though, although they could have been warmer.I've only been there once before many years back and had one of their burgers. I enjoyed that more than this time.Staff were friendly so no issues with that.Would I go back again ? Possibly and give them another go. But my advice is to avoid the sausages at all costs.

Friendly and quick even though short-staffed due to someone being off. A good quantity of food you will not go hungry here.

Went for breakfast this morning. A brilliant atmosphere when you walked in. We sat in the booth seats by the window. Husband had the East coast breakfast and I had pancakes. Portions where excellent and we both left feeling full. Staff are friendly and welcoming, they also have a good knowledge about the alleregy information. Would definitely recommend and will definitely be back.

Amazing!! Visited this place three times when on holiday staff amazing and the food portions are huge! The restaurant has a rock and roll American diner vibe just what you expect. We will be back again.

Almost almost there. Couldn't fault the service, cleanliness and value for money but there were some minor tweaks that need addressing. The fries had cold spots, I'm guessing from being frozen but not cooked long enough. The portions are massive! Honestly it's superb value for money but it's almost a Man vs Food challenge. Seems silly that most people had things left on their plates when they were finished because it was too much.Excellent selection of drinks by the way.Reckon with a little tweak here and there, they will nail this place.

Pretty cool American style diner. Massive menu too much to choose from! All dishes are large portions, we struggled to finish ours. Shakes are fantastic!! Food was good 👌🏼

We were pleasantly surprised about how good Route 39 was after a bike ride from Padstow. We were spoilt for choice on the menu options...a foodie dream! The American theme was great and the food (and portion size) lived up to the US experience. Great food and service.
