2 perfectly cooked sirloin steaks, one bottle of wine, expert service and a convivial atmosphere, all for £40! Bargain, will definitely be back when I'm staying locally.

·

A pub oozing original character and history! A very relaxed atmosphere. We immediately felt welcome, and would happily stay again.

·

High tea here today. A great selection of tiny sandwiches, cakes and scones. Plenty of coffee and tea. Staff made us welcome and couldn't do enough for us. Highly recommended.

·

Excellent food, excellent knowledgeable staff. Limited beer choice maybe keeps prices down so not a bad thing. Perhaps could have encouraged more careful covid practice among customers in narrow spaces

·

Really great pub offering excellent quality, home produced food. We thoroughly enjoyed our Sunday Roast and will highly recommend, very reasonably priced too.

·

Fantastic stay for 2 days, staff couldn't be more helpful and the room was wonderfully decorated and I was really impressed with the bathroom. Food was great too!! Am certain to return again soon!

After a disappointing visit to the rip-off Eden Project it was a delight to come across this delightful traditional English pub. A combination of good real ale and excellent food put us back into good spirits. The beef and ale pie was superb as were the fish and chips. All complimented by a friendly and most helpful host. Definitely recommend this hostelry to all

Great food, Excellent Real Ales, Wonderful owners and Superb staff. I stayed for four nights and i was made so welcome by staff and locals alike. I would like to give a special mention to Leanne, a very efficient young lady.

Stumbled across the Royal Oak whilst visiting Lostwithiel. A friendly service greeted us from the start as we ordered food, they even informed us there may be a delay as they had a party of 15 arrive. Not a problem as we was not in a rush. As it happened the food arrived promptly. The food was just perfect, large portions and of a very good quality. We had the fish pie and the steak and ale pie. Cannot recommend enough.

Stopped in for a quick drink but ended up staying due to the friendly, personal service. The staff brought out water and treats for our dog and made a fuss of her as she is unwell. Food came out quickly and the staff couldn't do enough for us, wouldn't hesitate to recommend them and we will definitely pop in next time we're in the area.
