Sanders Fish and Chips in Cornwall

Best Fish and Chips in the area. The batter is always thin and crisp, chips are tasty and portions are a good size.

Please use the other fish and chip shops. Overpriced and tasteless, I honestly have not been less impressed by a chippy. Staff also cold and rude. I was on holiday and wish I'd gone to the other ones!

No pleasure in giving 2 stars but it's only fair to the competition.Food was average to decent, prices are on the high side. Customer service started well but I ended up waiting for 20 minutes for a bog standard order, with no hint of an explanation. No bag offered, order just balanced in a pile. Sure I could've asked, but it's the consideration that makes the service. There are definitely better in the area.

What a find for us. Staff brilliant, patient and accommodating.Very good value for what we had and kids had a good choice. Seeing their were 10 of us service was quick , hot food and I really recommend it for any visitor like us.

I dont know if we were unlucky but having been assured it was the best one we decided to have plaice, chips mushy peas and gravy . One between us.Chips were dry and plaice more batter than fish, but the worst thing was the fat they were cooked in. Oh dear it needs changing and fresh oil used. We could taste it was old and stale!! Completely spoiled the meal. Peas and gravy were ok though.

Chips were lovely, fish was a good portion, mushy peas were good too, the batter was crispy which is good, but it was a little greasy too, just a little, that's why 4 stars, place is nice to dine in and staff were lovely.

Popped in mid-week, at lunchtime, for a takeaway. There were spaces available to dine in, but we wanted to take back to our holiday chalet. Our order was taken quickly, and we were told there would be a short wait - from what I could see, it looked like our fish were being fried fresh. I think we waited maybe 5 minutes before we were given our food and we were on our way.Staff were friendly and professional, and the place looked clean and tidy.

I am writing this review because after reading previous ones, I was intrigued and had to try sanders for myself. Overall, I would put them in the middle. The reason being is, I've had worse but I have also had better.The fish was average but better than some. The chips were random. Some were cooked too much and others cooked properly but the taste in general was rather bland. The taste didn't send me in to culinary heaven either. I admit, I expected better and I can see them doing better in the future. But for now, it's middle of thr Road unfortunately.

Great fish n chips, literally the best we've had!! Service was super, portions sizes great, lovely friendly staff too. We will definitely make an effort to visit again.... Soon

Have just been here for some chips and oh my god they were absolutely the best I've tasted. Straight out the fryer, perfectly cooked. Would 100% recommend anyone staying in Cornwall to visit.
