Sharkys Fish & Chips in Cornwall

Great chippy, with good portions. Chips are the best in St Ives. Fish was also good. Mini trek out of town but worth it

Heard about Sharkey's so after an hour and half drive home decided I will give them a try , stood there like a lemon for ten minutes. That's kinda my limit totally invisible no customer service, then started taking orders on the phone , still ignoring me lol, I legged it and went to town . I'm your winter customer as I live in st Ives , but I won't bother again, I don't mind waiting but the ignoring was so bad . Wasted my time!

Really nice. Some. Of the best chips I've had and a good price Cod and battered sausage is lovely as well

This came recommended from someone at home in Hertfordshire. Whilst we were on holiday in Cornwall we drove miles just for Sharky's fish and chips. Was it worth it ?Oh yes without a doubt. The fish was lovely but OMG ! the chips are to die for. Best Chips I have had in my life and I'm 71 yrs old !!!!! Can't wait to come back to Cornwall for some more. Well done Sharky's.

Cod and chips were great. Large portion, good batter and some of the best chips I've had in ages!

We were stopping in the local area and decided to check out local reviews of places before we settled on a chip shop tea and Sharkys did not disappoint! Lovely food, great portions and a reasonable price.

Yum ! Best fish and chips anywhere don't bother to look anywhere else this is the place. Nice crispy batter on fish. Great portions. Best chips. And friendly staff. Must go if you are around.

Absolutely awful food - we didn’t even touch it. Chips and fish were covered in black specks: clearly burned old oil was used to cook them. Soggy undercooked batter on the fish. Really unpleasant. Also I called ahead for allergen info, and the staff joked about it while preparing the food, I was standing right there. Honestly - avoid avoid avoid. I’d give zero stars if I could.

Rude staff who clearly didn't want to be there and would rather keep touching her face and not washing her hands, large cod and chips? Have honestly had larger mini fish and chips. Mushy peas are simply not they were just processed peas as you can see from the photo. All food tasted of old oil and so greasy that the grease soaked through the boxes. The whole 3 meals ended up in the bin. So greasy it made us all feel sick. If the option was available for zero stars this would be our option. AVOID.
