Stopped off here for lunch after a lovely walk. A warm welcome greeted us to be followed by delicious food. The goat's cheese salad on sweet potato with caramelised walnuts was delicious, plum & port crumble for pudding. Fabulous views! Should have done the walk after the meal. Highly recommended.

Excellent cozy, atmospheric pub. Decent pub grub and a nice selection of local beers and ciders; good wine list. Lovely position overlooking the river. Booking essential for eating as it was crammed every night we were there (mid October). Great place to end a ramble.

Absolutely worth the effort to find this place. Fantastic location on the riverside, great surroundings, friendly staff, top notch local ales......and brilliantly tasty food. Perhaps advise booking, as they were full when we arrived.....although the young lady behind the bar did manage to squeeze us in. Would definitely visit again and have no hesitation recommending The Shipwrights Arms at Helford to anyone.

Lovely pub in a beautiful location. It's a shame we couldn't eat there at lunch time but from previous visits it's well worth visiting in the evening.

Lovely pub in a beautiful location with amazing view over the estuary. Food delicious although the method for ordering your food is unusual. You can't pre book a table and have to book a slot as you arrive, for your order to be taken from 6pm onwards. Obviously at peak times you may have a good hour to wait before you can place your order. Staff very attentive and on the mark for taking your order at your alloted time and food served relatively quickly after that.It was worth the wait but just took us and other customers by surprise at the time.

Absolutely beautiful experience it was my 30th birthday and my first time here. The food was outstanding. The detail and taste was so tasty. And it was beautifully presented. I had the fresh fish hake, chorizo , prawns , potatoes and salsa Verde and it was cooked beautifully. Knowing the fish was caught that morning made me feel like I was on holiday and like I had helped a local. My friend had the halloumi salad which was so fresh and filling. everything came so hot. We treated ourselves to a pudding I had the passionfruit posset and my friend had the gf chocolate brownie both melted in your mouth. The service was fantastic. All the staff are very helpful and so kind. They were all on hand whenever you needed and they make you smile . Especially G the Italian waiter. He was so good with any age of customer. Such good customer service and food. I will be taking friends and family here to show them too .

This is a lovely pub right on the Helford River. You have to cross a ford to get to it and wind down a tiny single track road (no idea how you pass on it), but its worth it.The location and view are wonderful, staff are young and really helpful and the food was top. Hake fillet was delicious.
