Friendly and helpful staff, good food, especially the cheesecake. We sat outside and the view across the valley was very relaxing.

Closest, decent looking pub to the campsite.. saw it online and booked. We were not disappointed - good food and staff were friendly and helpful (especially when it came to the extra veg and gravy). Thank you.

Unfortunately we had a really disappointing meal and service. There was a 30 minute gap for the starters to be cleared and not due to the kitchen being busy at the time but staff members stood at the bar talking not doing anything. We had to ask twice to order drinks and when the main finally arrived the beef was chewy, roast potatoes were either bright white or charcoal black. Really disappointing and the only reason it has 2 stars and not 1 is due to the starter being ok. Other tables around us were having similar issues and overall caused the atmosphere to feel dull

Highly recommended by friends. They were not wrong. Characterful pub, with a good range of beers and other drinks, complimenting a quality food offer. Great ambience, and is recommended.

A beautiful place. Recently refurbished by the owners. I believe it's 15th century. It is tucked away down narrow country lanes. It is not signposted from the main Goonhavern to Newquay Road. We found it on Google. But definitely worth a visit. Staff and service were excellent 👌

We visited whilst on holiday, we hadn't booked in advance, a lovely lady couldn't squeeze us in the pub buttook us through to the restaurant and we had our pick of tables. We chose to sit on the covered deck as it was brighter. They allow dogs in that area. They were very accommodating, we have a 3yr old son. The seafood chowder was delicious and full of seafood, it was extremely filling. Reasonably priced for home cooked food.

This is the second time I have visited this place and I will be returning again it's got the best food I have ever had it also is the most beautiful place I have seen for the age and the staff are amazing so polite and will do everything to make you feel welcome I would recommend this place to anyone who likes good food and drink and likes to be in a relaxed atmosphere 👍🌸😄

Fabulous meals would recommend the chef booked up for the rest of our holiday. go home Saturday

This was the best food I've eaten in a pub, honest and cheap. 5 quid starts 11 quid mains and too full for dessert. veggie food was the highlight mushroom pie etc

But it does have those vibes in an oldy English pub but it's not quite there (not sure if this is the ambition).Camembert starter was pretty standard but yummyMains were nice, we'll presented and a good portion sizeDesserts were OK but not wow, crumble bit on the stingy side
