Checked on the way past, late afternoon, when do you do food, 6 - 8.30. We turned up at 7.30 having walked down there to be told they weren't doing food tonight, not amused.

We just tried the Sunday roast takeaway, wow, what a plateful! Lovely tender meat (beef and gammon tried!) great selection of vegetables, gravy, Yorkshire pudding and roast potatoes! Highly recommended, if you live in Penzance (we're only half a mile away!) or a bit further away, superb quality Sunday lunch for a reasonable price. Lovely helpful staff, food loaded into our car all cling fim covered and in plastic transport trays... Just a perfect lunch solution!

Had a really good meal. It's not an obvious tourist pub but the food was excellent, very good size portions. One real ale on which was also very good.

Just finished my fish and chips on a Tuesday and it was absolutely beautiful. Lovely batter, lovely fish, awesome chips. I'd have to say the best I've had, anywhere. If only they could deliver to Warwickshire I'd order next week too 😁

I didn't get chance to try the food but I had a drink. Good prices, good selection. Nice outdoor seating area. Interior still looks like a work in progress. Had a bit of a social club feel. Staff were friendly too. The reputation of the food is good, with regular curry nights and other themed menus. I will definitely return to try the food and maybe push it up to four stars, but I wouldn't go out of my way to drink here again.
