St Petroc's Bistro in Cornwall
Where is St Petroc's Bistro?
🏠 4 New St, Padstow PL28 8EA
"An informal bistro that is only a short stroll from Padstow harbour, we take classic French cooking seriously. St Petroc’s Bistro is renowned for its atmosphere best experienced whilst enjoying a dry-aged, grilled steak or the freshest Cornish catch. Stopping by Ruby’s Bar next door for a pre or post dinner cocktail is a must."

The attic room is so noisy - you can hear EVERYTHING in the next door room. You can also hear everything on the street - some better glazing may be better. I know you can’t help seagulls on the roof but they wake you up at 5am sounding like they're tap-dancing - also sounds like they are nesting on the roof too. I could also hear the TV and man in the room next to the Attic room - some soundproofing is desperately required. My mum stayed in the St Issey room and hardly slept for the 2 nights due to the massive air conditioning unit on the wall outside the room.A dog was staying there on our second night and the owners must have been left on it’s own and it barked incessantly for over an hour until I called reception and they thankfully sorted that.I’m not sure for the money it costs, it’s worth it based on the quality of the rooms. A nice breakfast though and the couple doing the taxi service were v pleasant.

First time visiting this lovely restaurant. Was recommended by a friend. Would definitely come back when i visit the area again, as I live in windsor. Food was amazing staff very friendly.

A very lovely restaurant and staff were very good- however thoroughly disappointed with the size of this lobster for £61! This was supposed to be a celebratory dinner but it felt like it under delivered monumentally. What a shame

Great food and reasonably priced wine list. Friendly and attentive staff.

The room was lovely. Staff great. Though it was like staying above a disco not a lovely hotel in Padstow. If you want a good nights sleep, I would not recommend.

Stayed for a couple of nights. Room was excellent as was breakfast. Dog friendly as well. He came home with a blanket, a bowl, a toy, and some fish skin treats! All quality items that he loves. We only had breakfast at St Petrocs. We had our evening meal at The Seafood Restaurant which didn't disappoint.

Booked in for a late lunch and was not disappointed. Staff were incredibly friendly and attentive. I had crab linguine for a starter, absolutely delicious and then mouth watering sole for a main. Would highly recommend a prosecco royale with rhubarb too. One of the nicest meals I've ever had.

Great food and excellent service. It lived up to the high expectations we had! It is a quality place but, as a bistro, has a slightly informal and relaxed atmosphere. As a family with young ‘uns we were made to feel very welcome. Thank you!

We booked a garden table which we were a little hesitant about (that’s as all that was available). The outside table was lovely plenty of heat and cover. The food was awesome. We tried as much as we could. Oysters were divine, they adjusted the mussels recipe for us and all the other food was top notch. But what really made our evening was our Server Neil. We could have spent hours with him he was so warm and knowledgeable and helped us with our trip planning. We can’t wait to come back one day!

We sat outside in the lovely garden area, patio heaters kept us warm. Staff were helpful and friendly, service was a little slow, but I think I overheard them say to another table that they were short-staffed.The food was spectacular. Starters disappeared without a word, that's how good they were. I had a little of my son's steak, it was the best I've ever tasted. My own dish, cod, was cooked to perfection and my wife's lemon sole goujons were light, delicate and flavoursome. I had a glass of the Rick Stein white Burgundy and it was a super complement to the fish.Desserts were delicious but we were defeated by them! If we're lucky enough to go again, we'll probably share one between two. A lovely gesture were the Happy Anniversary and Happy Birthday plates that they brought out - I'd completely forgotten I had mentioned it at time of booking (I did, advisably, book well in advance)! All in all, a wonderful experience.
