Star and Garter in Cornwall

We had a great Sunday lunch here a while ago and came back for an evening meal which turned out to be just as lovely. All of our fish, meat and veggie dishes were delicious and went down really well. Good selection of wines and beers, friendly service and reasonable prices. Looking forward to the next time! 👍🙂

Great burgers and nice chips to go with it. The service was amazing and the staff were extremely kind. Unfortunately, there was a huge wait for our food and the rest of our family didn't even get their food until they asked about it. Overall, a decent place to eat if you're not in a rush.

We have been looking forward to dining at the Star and Garter for some time. It always looks so inviting through the window. The menu was quite small, making food choice easy. But the food was delicious. We will definitely dine here again.

I walk past this place all the time and I've always wondered if the place is any good. Randomly while looking for a place to have a roast the star and garter came up on a top ten which made me curious. I made a booking the I wasn't disappointed.The food was great and the staff was pleasant and attentive. I ordered a 10 oz steak and my girlfriend ordered a chicken schnitzel, both were great. However, the starter we ordered the monkfish scampi was only one piece which was a bit disappointing for the price. The soda bread was okay, I don't have much to say about it.I would definitely go there again.

Popped in for a Saturday afternoon drink. Able to get a window seat. Lovely place. Food has always been good there in the past but not eaten there since lockdown.

Staff were very friendly and so welcoming. Food was exceptional we really enjoyed our meals, wish we'd had room for extra puddings!

Excellent service. Literally the best Sunday roast. Atmospheric and scenic setting. 3rd visit now and hasn’t disappointed.

Absolutely fantastic Sunday Lunch.Chicken liver pate was the bomb and so were the scallop scampi and pork nuggets. Roast beef and lamb shoulder were to die for and the roast potato's were the best I've ever tasted.Cocktails were amazing.Brilliant service from the team including the chefs and our waitress Issabelle.

In recent years we've only made into the S&G for drinks. This trip we made two restaurant reservations and were glad we did so. Thanks for the excellent food, drinks and service, we will be back next time we're in Falmouth. Highly recommended.

Absolutely delicious food in a lovely setting! We weren't lucky enough to get a table in a window but we could still enjoy a little of the view as the sun set over the water. We were also very impressed by the girl serving us who was friendly, attentive without being pushy and knowledgeable about the wine list.
