We only called in for some takeaway coffees, and cake. But the coffee shop was wonderfully presented, very clean and smart looking. The service was fantastic and friendly. The coffee was delicious, both a normal flat white, and oat milk flat white, both perfectly made. We also had a couple of pastries, a light and moreish chocolate cake which wasn't too sweet (just how we like it), and a delicious sausage roll. Highly recommended.

What a disappointment. The coffee was as good as on our last visit, but the cheese toastie was a poor effort - cheap sliced bread, unmelted cheese, no garnish, and at £6.95 an absolute rip off. We asked for, and were given our money back.

Best flat white since arriving on UK three weeks ago and yummy Portuguese tart too

Popped in to the coffee shop 10 minutes before closing and the very nice Emily welcomed us in and told us not to rush as she had cleaning to do. We had a lovely coffee and a Portuguese tart each. The quality was excellent. Whilst chatting Emily told us that most of the cakes were made at the Cookery School and some items were imported from abroad, but only a few. The ambience of the Shop is delightful and we’ll definitely be going again.

Pros: Beautiful space, great for people watching and does a lovely oat flat white. Cons: not enough space, no toilet.

Good, friendly service. But, both myself and my friend bought a hummus, avo and lettuce bagel. They were stale, with limp lettuce and large chunks of red onion. They were expensively inedible. Shame on you Steins.

Amazing best filled bagels ever, houmous and 🥑 and smoked salmon and cream cheese 🧀 lovely team very friendly, nice surroundings

·

Dog friendly with good service, nice hot chocolate and a very fresh cake but lacking in terms of hot food sandwichy options

Pleasant and good coffee but pastries not made locally or fresh - they’re ordered in from France and Portugal. Slightly disappointing when Rick Stein is always banging on about local stuff and it would be nice if they could support a local business. Find it hard to believe no one in Padstow or even Cornwall is making a croissant or Danish. It even says on their website their pastries are locally made when they’re not.

Quite expensive but lots of lovely tasty things are sold here. Special mention must go to their sublime egg custard tart.
