Sun House Chinese Takeaway in Cornwall

Food not great ordered sweet and sour chicken balls , chicken and cashew, bbq ribs, young chow fried rice, chilli chicken wings and chips cost £37.60 threw most in the bin balls were so doughy ,chicken and cashew was cucumber carrots and baby corn ,no water chestnuts, bamboo shoots watery no taste or flavour disgusted

Chose Sun house as it's close to Retallack Resort. Managed to get a parking space in market place opposite Co op as parking is difficult. They only accept cash but there is an ATM outside Co-op, The food we had was tasty and still hot on returning to Retallack. So all good.

Chose Sun House because it was the only one locally which had no queue (Red Flag)Purchased Beef with ginger and Spring onion, Sweet and Sour Pork Balls, Boiled Rice and Chips.How anyone can produce a dish containing Ginger and Spring Onion and it be tasteless is beyond me, the beef was chewy too.The pork balls were tough to slice but the sauce saved it, I could at least taste it.The servings are on the small side and not in keeping with the prices.The boiled rice was acceptable but the chips had the taste and feel of having been kept warm for the past hour.It's 2021 yet they do not accept card payments, must be cash!I give them 1 star for the food and 1 star for the name because 'Sun House' gives you a sense of hope that you lose rather quickly once you get your meal home.

This was the best Chinese I’ve had and it was made so quickly. The young lad knew what he was doing and should get a raise as it was so quickly and professionally done.

Good food good value. Very quick service. Value for money perfect.

Would not recommend! I ordered for 7 of us, as there was quite a lot to order I wrote a list to read out with the gentleman on the phone repeating back to me, after 5 attempts it was still wrong with items missing after we collected it. The food was very poor, probably one of the worst Chinese take-aways I've ever had. If you're staying in Cornwall and fancy a Chinese, my tip is to look elsewhere!!

Always good food from here. Good portion sizes and friendly staff.

The prawn toast tasted like fried bread, the satay like sweet and sour water. Even the prawn crackers were burnt, but at least they were free. I wouldn't recommend.

I was going to order some food from the restraunt and I saw some off your staff outside smoking with there aprons still on . Also when I went into your restaurant the staff came back on from there breaks and they didnt even wash there hands after they had a break also they kept on going on there phones while I ordered some food but sorry for complaint other than that your food is good :) I only complaining about the staff while I was going for a take away... they also was smoking in front of the door way and they put there cigarette ends on the door also I was only looking out for your take away could you please have a word with your staff many thanks

Not great. The rice was dark grey in colour and not something to enjoy. Not really sure what was contained within the rice dish, but would only recommend if you needed to empty your system. The foo young dish was slightly better, but not great value and food (if you can call it that) was my worst experience of a Chinese ever.
