The most amazing dining experience I have had to date. Fantastically attentive staff who were on the ball every step of the way, I never had an empty glass and learnt a little bit about every meal! The fact that nearly every course had a tableside event just made it that bit more special. Every bit of food presented was stunning bith visually and to taste! If I could, I would eat here every day for the rest of my life!Well done to every single member of staff who worked as a well oiled machine from start to finish! The hand written birthday card and goodie bag to take away were fantastic treats!

Thank you to Chris and all the team at Number 6 for an unforgettable evening. We let Chris and his team decide what we were having from the Winter tasting menu and what an amazing surprise it was. The treats, the butter with the cheese scone, the parfait cupcake... unforgettable. Absolutely perfection. Highly recommended. Thank you for welcoming us and making us feel at home. Booked 4 months ago as a birthday treat for my wife. The staff all seemed to want to be there and that it was not just a job to them. They were very knowledgeable about all aspects of the meal which really made the whole experience. The food was glorious with amazing flavour combinations celebrating local food. Number 6 has left a lasting impression of a top class dining experience.

Such a great place, the food is amazing, the staff are so welcoming and attentive. Story-telling food with surprises, such a great experience. I will definitely re-visit, very special.

I went for dinner with my boyfriend and we weren't disappointed. The atmosphere was laid back and cosy and the staff were all really friendly and helpful giving good summaries of all the dishes. The food was fantastic with so much flavour we could have carried on eating it all day. There were lots of nice suprise dishes inbetween the courses which was lovely and some nice chocolates and coffee to take away. Overall a delicious meal. I would highly recommend! We wish there was one up north!

Ok, so, it's got a Michelin star. Yes, it was the partners' birthday, and it was a night for something special.You will not be disappointed! Sometimes, Michelin stars mean something pretentious and potentially inaccessible. Nothing could be further from the truth for No 6 - it has been a most wonderful, sensory, special and exemplary experience, with attentive staff, and a most wholesome dining experience. A credit to the art of fine, interesting, and different cuisine, and superb hosting. Worth the 300 mile journey alone, but particularly, and most importantly, a lifetime memory.If I get a chance to come back, I'll take a table for the pair of us, again. And again.

We had a wonderful meal. We have visited a few times since No.6 opened and they keep raising the bar. Expensive but good value in our view for that special meal out.
