Attended a family wedding and stayed here. Almost perfect. My partner is disabled and couldn't access the terrace with everyone else. Rooms were great, but bathroom not accessible for disabled. Staff were great. Need to do something for disabled people.

Really nice hotel, finished to a good quality. Staff are helpful and friendly. Food was to a very high standard. Nice environment to spend a night so I know longer would be pleasant too

Honestly one of the most beautiful hotels I have ever stayed in. The moment you arrive to the moment you leave you are looked after. The room was large, spacious, well decorated, clean and supplied with refreshments.Truro isn't the most lively of places to visit but it's a nice centre point to branch out to other surrounding areas in CornwallWill visit again one day.

The Alverton Hotel is an absolutely stunning venue! Full of history and character. The hall reminds me of Harry Potter, it took our breath away when we viewed it as a potential wedding venue. Absolutely delighted with the service we have received, particularly from Amber who went above and beyond, and Clare from the wedding team. Nothing was too much trouble, we were made to feel very welcome and special. When we got to our room after the wedding reception we had been left a card and a wedding present from Amber and the team which was a really lovely gesture, and we will treasure it forever. Thank you to all involved in our wedding at this beautiful venue! It really was the best day of our lives.

Really enjoyed my short stay here. The hotel itself is set in a beautiful old building, close to the city but far enough from the road to be quiet. Lovely large, clean rooms with comfortable beds. Spotlessly clean.Lovely staff too. It was a pleasure staying at the Alverton; I'm glad I found the place and I'll be back.

Beautiful hotel and lovely staff in the restaurant/breakfast. Comfy and clean room. Great location! Around a 10 minute walk away from the Truro city centre, definitely would recommend.

We booked a private room for a 50th birthday meal. Our guests stayed overnight and whilst we were there, the hotel was hosting a gin festival to celebrate the end of Dry January. When we arrived we were given our own room to enjoy a free cream tea and to watch England play rugby. Our meal in the Duchy room was fabulous for a small party. We were able to decorate it beforehand. There was a little stereo for music. The food was exquisite and served by the most lovely staff. Callum and Milly were incredible at their jobs and couldn't do enough for us. They made our night and had a great sense of humour!.After our meal we headed to the Great Hall for a boogie at the Gin Festival. It was a fabulous night with great company. The gin cocktails were awesome and served with a smile. Breakfast in the morning was served by a lovely chap called Jake who was great fun and a lovely waitress from Birmingham who made our guest from Birmingham feel at home. The whole weekend couldn't have been better and every single one of our guests were blown away by the hospitality. The Alverton Hotel has quite a young workforce, but my goodness, they are an asset to the management team. It's an outstanding venue and we could not recommend them more! 5*****

Stayed here for 6 nights and everything was exceptional.Room was a lovely size with excellent tea + coffee facilities (nespresso machine in the room was great). Walk in shower with a separate bath was lovely. The front of house and dining staff were extremely accommodating, friendly and professional. Nothing ever seemed too much to trouble for them and they always had a smile on their face. The food was always a very standard.Truro city centre is just a 5 minute walk away with some excellent restaurants to choose from and a taxi is less than £4 back to the hotel.

I stayed here just for one night and did not want to leave! I received a complimentary upgrade upon arrival from a single to a double and it was genuinely outstanding. The room I stayed in h is the perfect getaway from everything, nice and spacious but still cosy and warm. The bath was phenomenal and I took full advantage of it and on top of that, the food was fantastic (definitely try the smoked salmon and prawn sandwich and the eggs royale if you get the chance) and the service was brilliant. I will definitely be coming back for longer, and I can’t wait for it!

Lovely room, just needed a few minor tweaks to make it a perfect stay...shelf in the shower for toiletries, better lock on bathroom door as difficult to shut etc...but otherwise lovely. Staff very polite and professional, breakfast very good. Would have loved to stay longer but not sure I could justify the cost of the food if dining in as it's quite pricey, but then it is meant to be high end.
