Great welcome and great food at a reasonable price. Gluten free options available and we were able to sit with our dog in the garden. Great art work to view also. World definitely recommend and we will be returning.

Lovely quality food. Perhaps not the most imaginative veggie/ vegan menu I have come across. However, all tastes catered for. Portion sizes are generous. Food is like good quality home cooking. Can't complain at all. Very small restaurant. Not many tables. Had to pre book and pay a deposit. So many restaurants do this now though, so not a problem. You also had to pre order your choices in advance, so cannot change your mind!!

Really enjoyed our meal here, all veggie and vegan food, nice selection of wine and drinks and top notch staff. Thank you all for a very pleasant evening.

What a great place for an evening meal, especially if you are vegetarian or vegan. We are neither, but had a really excellent meal there last evening and the staff were very attentive. Don't forget to try the chocolate and orange mud pie - its fabulous. Definitely one to return to - next time we are in the area.

We had a great, 3 course meal here - highly recommend if you are in the area. Healthy, filling food and really wonderful vibe from the hosts. They also have a nice garden space if you fancy a drink and a glance down to the bay. Even if you aren’t veggie- worth a stop. When we went booking was essential.

Epic, healthy, soulful vegan food. We were blown away with our food (mushroom bourguignon and cauliflower curry and dahl), homemade and with so much flair and flavour. The owners are so friendly, we called before 2 and our dishes were made to order, to pick up later that day. I recommend going out your way if you're in St Ives, you won't regret it.

Fabulous vegetarian food, really tasty, cooked to perfection and well presented. Great service from start to finish. Nice little touch to message on takeaway bag and even purchased their recipe book and alteady made the vegtable and lred lentil soup. Scrumpcious. Well done to all at The Bean Inn, St Ives. Can really recommend.

This place is utterly perfect. We had a lovely romantic meal for two, delicious and great service, the staff were friendly and the place is intimate with tasteful décor. We had the gnocchi with greens and pesto which came with and a side of vegan cheese on request. For mains I had the Vegetable Bourguignon with Herb Dumplings and my other half had the Stuffed Potato Cakes with Pea Curry & Spicy Tarka Dahl. All was absolutely delicious, nicely presented with good sized portions. The total of the bill including a bottle of wine, two sides, starters, mains came to £66 which I thought was pretty reasonable. We were too full to eat the delicious sounding desserts they had to offer! They also do cocktails for around £7. I highly recommend this place. We strolled down to Carbis Bay beach afterwards which was lovely and peaceful watching all bats fly past. Beware of calling local taxis on a night as they are very busy, call ones from St. Ives as they have more on although still busy. A taxi from Carbis Bay beach to Hayle Ventonleague is £17, we had to wait around 45mins to an hour for Maxi taxi!

Finding a dedicated vegetarian/vegan place is always nice, however it’s a shame the experience wasn’t up to scratch. While the starters were rather enjoyable the mains and dessert unfortunately let the side down. The mud pie was excruciatingly rich, with each bite needing to be balanced by an excess of ice cream.Added to this, the bill was genuinely a shock, especially when compared to some of the eateries within St. Ives. Worth noting that the music played didn’t suit the mellow atmosphere. On a positive note, the food was served piping hot and well presented, and the waiting staff was exceedingly pleasant and helpful. Would have tipped if not for the bill. Was nice for a visit, but we are unlikely to return again.
