The Blue Peter inn is a really good pub. Traditional, warm and a great place to have a drink.Me and my dad walked from looe to Polperro and what kept us going was the drinks at the blue Peter.Really good atmosphere and is dog friendly.Only issue I found is when I went there was a massive wait on food (1 hour) and so we chose not to eat there, but people we have talked to have said that the food is great.

Visited here on Saturday and was rather disappointed, as it was nowhere near as good as when we previously visited. The venue itself is great and they have a very wide selection of drinks.Ordered the fish, chips and mushy peas (of which the chips and peas were great). The fish goujons looked huge when presented, but unfortunately they were mostly just batter with not a lot of fish. The waitresses were friendly, but the barman wasn't very friendly or approachable. Wasn't great when my wife and stepdaughter (who are vegetarian) could hear him slating vegetarians to another customer within earshot.

Stopped for early evening dinner at the Blue Peter Inn.Amazing food and the service was brilliant. I had the Bouillabaise which was phenomenal and the others had a huge Fish Platter and Lobster, King Prawn Linguine. We had a chat with the chef after dinner and was advised that they had unfortunately run out of crab meat during the weekend and therefore substituted it for Lobster in the other dishes. Hiw amazing is that....definitely a return visit needed.

We had a great lunch there on our wedding anniversary. The Seafood Platter and Prawn & Lobster Linguine were both excellent. Quick friendly service, welcoming wood fire. Well kept ales. All good!

Proper pub with amazing food and good beer selection. Could happily have eaten anything from the menu, and both seafood dishes we had were delicious. A few different and changing cask and keg ale and lager options and a proper unspoilt bustling pub feel.

We were pleased to visit Blue Peter Inn after long 7 years since our first visit, and we were not disappointed! We fondly remembered this harbour inn as a cosy and friendly place with great food. This time, we had our dinner on two consecutive evenings, and we found the meals very delicious. The vegetarian curry with veggies on the side was full of flavour, the fish and chips enormous plus the burger with Stilton such a marvellous comfort food. Our daughter loved the chips, and we will keep this place in our memories until we come back one day.

The Blue Peter Inn is a brilliant pub in the little village of polperro the bar is great to sit and enjoy a drink with a warm cozy open fire. The bar man was very friendly and welcoming the pub was busy so we had to eat upstairs which was alot quieter and ideal for a meal but it was bar service only so you had to keep going downstairs to order drinks which isn't ideal. The food was good we shared a light bite of salt and pepper squid which was really tasty. Sometimes batter on crispy squid can be oily or too thick and overpowers the squid but the got it perfect on this and really impressed. My main I had the halloumi burger which was a massive portion the meal was absolutely delicious and filling. My husband had the seafood linguine which was just prawns he really liked the fresh flavours. It said a hint of chilli but he thought it was a little hot but definitely enjoyed his meal I really liked it as had to have a taste too. Would recommend this to any one who like typical home cooked grub and a historical pub like setting with lots of drink choices.

We all had a different meal (7 of us) and all thoroughly enjoyed them. My Bouillabaisse was just delicious! The haddock was a nice large portion. There was also a vegan option! Lovely friendly staff and a great location. Dog friendly too.

Loved the fish and chips here and came back for a second time to have them. But discovered the joy of the experience depends where you are seated!! Definetly not squashed next to the gents loos downstairs and next to lively customers talking about their piles and other related conversations! Couldn't get out of there quick enough! Please don't use that seating for food customers!

Lovely cosy pub, friendly staff and very scrummy food which is reasonably priced.
