Thoroughly enjoyed my brief stop at the Boot yesterday (Sun 10th). 2 very pleasant hours. Great Beer, good conversation, and despite GWR doing their best to ruin my day by cancelling ALL the trains back I managed to get transport into Plymouth in time for the train to London. Many thanks for the hospitality - hope to see you again soon.

Superb proper Cornish pub, friendly bar staff, good food on offer and two well kept ales. Easy walk down fro the station but give yourself a few extra minutes for the climb back up! Currently keep a close eye on train services - the line suffers from many cancellations due to staff issues.

Outstanding! Best pub in (just) Cornwall. Handy for the station IF First Great Western can be bothered to run the trains. Very friendly, great beer and food, chatty locals. All you could want.

Only been a couple of times, first time there we lived the menu. Had just about all our favorites, place has a lovely feel too. Menu had been adapted during covid but not managed to get back yet.

The first time we visited, they couldn't be more helpful and fantastic food. So good we came back the next day, and enjoyed another superb meal there. While every short notice trip to the area, tried calling to see about food, sadly they have been fully booked, but I am happy that's the case because they really deserve it, it is a fantastic pub, with amazing atmosphere, wonderful staff and a gem of a place, I recommend them to our holiday guests in the area.

Toilets are disgusting with remains of vomit. No hand dryer. All this whilst covid is active.I ordered a chicken Kiev which was huge , it came with hardly any veg. It had way too much garlic in....to the point where it made me I'll.Our friends meals of steak and a veg option were very nice.Waitress also got our bill wrong.
