The Bowgie Inn in Cornwall

This place has really changed .COVID safe very good practice .Food great and scenery is brilliant.Downside is car park strictly no motorhomes a little impolite way that they put it.. Pay at the car park up the hill nice and £5 for day .But a lot of Cornwall seems not really to want motorhomes lot of height barrier's length restrictions. We stay on sites we were told by someone who lives there that Cornwall will do more harm if it does not alter it ways for motorhomes,sad we love Cornwall and spent many happy hour at this pub with our children . Sadly thinking it may be our last visit to Cornwall .

View from the Bowgie Inn - Warning however, it is an app service pub (you MUST order via an app/online or a screen near the entrance). Bit of a faff to be honest. The mobile phone website ordering worked up to payment then failed. The receptionist could not make it work either so we re-entered the order on her screen. -1 star for the effort.Once past that the dog-friendly pub was spotlessly clean, the food arrived quickly via a very friendly waitress, there are loads of outside tables to enjoy the view.My £9 ploughmans was bulked out with 60% salad leaves. (See picture.) That cheese slice was quite thin and there was not much substance to my meal. I didn’t deduct a star as Mum's Jacket potato was much better value. I guess either I was unlucky, or avoid the ploughmans.£29 for two meals and two drinks.

Great location for the terrace during a sunny day overlooking Crantock beach, fair price for a pint and food (approx £15 each) but it tasted great! Really fresh on the inside will go back next time

What a view! Had a fantastic experience here . Extremely well organised. Friendly meet and greet and lovely polite staff. Easy to order using an App or screen by reception . Great choice of food ranging from light bites to main meals. Delicious and hot. Immaculately clean considering how busy it was. Dog friendly and big bowls of water brought out for them ! Absolutely can’t fault the experience we had! Well done to the hardworking team involved

Fantastic food, had an issue with a main which was resolved in no time at all. Incredible view, could do with being able to order at the bar as would increase sales and customer satisfaction instead of having to download an app or order from a digital screen... Just a thought! Thanks again for such a sweet time ❤️🌞👍

Read lots of negative comments about the app. But I didn’t find this a problem at all. Really good value and tasty quiche, chips and salad at £10.00 for lunch. All with a great view of beautiful Crantock Beach.

Very nice place with great service from your table.. a little bit of time to set up with card payment etc but worth it in the end and future visits.Cracking view of the beach with surfers literally right in front! Great coastal view also..Will return for food! Cornish Orchard and Rattler available! 5 stars!

Awful experience. Considering how lovely it used to be, it has changed significantly for the worst in the last few years. Everything is online - so no phone, no point turning up. No cash, draconian staff, and they’ve applied what was a charming and relaxed place to hangout into a high turnover cash machine.I will not be going back.

Great food and service. Stunning views over Crantock beach and very dog friendly outside. Definitely recommend booking as it can get quite busy. Ordering is through their app and you have access to their free WiFi if you haven't downloaded it prior too.

Visited twice on holiday, and can't wait to return.It can be a tad windy, so a jacket might be needed. Dog friendly too. Lots of seating.The food was incredible! Just needed a bigger table (there are much bigger tables available)Inside is stunning.Will be bringing family here for sure in summer.
