Absolutely delicious!! The best fish I've ever had!! Exceptionally clean inside; staff are very friendly and helpful; food cooked fresh. No grease at all on the chips (which were also delicious!) or the fish. Can't recommend enough ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Every time we are in the neighbourhood, we pay a couple of visits to The Chippy as their gluten free options are fantastic. The owner is coeliac and takes it very seriously with a separate fryer so no cross contamination issues. We've eaten here many times and never had an issue. Keep up the good work! 🙂

Visited this shop for the first time today even though I am fairly local not sure why I haven't been before as the fish and chips is superb, friendly staff, and it was nice to be able to sit inside as I hate having to compete with Seagulls. The only thing that puzzled me, and a few potential customers that arrived there while we were still finishing our food, was the lady that was cooking suddenly said to the young guy who was serving I got to nip off to feed my cat and shut the shop door, but told us we can stay to finish our food, but we looked at each other as if to say why the heck would you close a shop at 2.50pm which wasn't the normal closing time for that shop just to feed a cat? Surely feed it in the morning or at the end of the day. They lost out on custom as it was a busy Good Friday because within seconds of the door being closed potential customers were being turned away by the young guy, so we felt sorry for him in a way. I don't know how a business can turn away customers to feed a cat especially in these uncertain times. Make hay while the sun shines I was always told.

Friendly service, clearly lots of local customers, the chicken chunks are really chunky, think two or three nuggets per chunk. Good chips too, so a handy place if taking a train later. I'll definitely be back whenever I visit Newquay.

Tried for the first time tonight. Couldn't believe the size of the fish when I opened the paper and it wasn't mostly batter. Thumbs up for still using paper. Mushy Peas were tasteless gloop but curry sauce was really good. Chips were great. Will be back.

Came over from the USA summer 2018. Went here 3 times loved it. The lady who I think ran it was a great laugh. Great big pieces of fish👍🏼🤪

online ordering, arrived earlier than expected, staff were happy to cook it early. Great taste good portion size. Probably the best fish and chips out of the 3 i have tried in Newquay

Decent chip shop.Fairly priced (context: considering all chip shops on sea front are vastly overpriced). However, long queues to wait for other to be taken made it quite inefficient when busy - could have had a better system of ordering then waiting.Staff reasonably pleasant.Food was fine, although had better quality chips elsewhere

Best Chippy in Town! Whenever people ask me how my holiday went in Newquay 'the chippy' had to get a mention in every conversation! The food was top quality, the serving size was very generous at a great price, all of the staff were very friendly and I was delighted to hear there were gluten free options for my sister. I had a taste of hers and I could not tell the difference. Could not fault the chippy. Great stuff!

Fantastic gluten free / coeliac offering, food was absolutely delicious best fish and chips we’ve had in a while. Lovely staff and good value for money - highly recommend for those needing gluten free and those who don’t!
