Had a gluten free pasty which was awful. The edge of the pastry was like biting into a piece of rock and the taste was disappointing. Overall very underwhelmed especially after seeing their sign outside with awards from previous years. Will not be returning.

Great tasting food and really friendly staff. I would recommend the cornish pasty as it was amazing. Would definitely go back.

Award winning, I think not! Visited today and received raw Cornish pasties. Returned them for a refund only to be told they are sorry but the usual cook isn’t in today? Surely it would be better to close rather than give food poisoning to your customers!

We used to come here as children 20 years ago, so we had big expectations. Choughs didn't disappoint. The pasties were just as good as we remembered. Love this place.

The best pasties in Cornwall. Absolutely perfect in every way. The bacon and egg pie is fabulous too, so make sure you try a slice or two. No trip to Padstow is complete without a visit to The Chough

Mouth wateringly good gluten free pasties, which are made separately, frozen and then heated (5 mins) when requested, meaning they are suitable for coeliacs. We were very impressed. We went for opening and there was a queue even before they opened the doors... Always a good sign!

Best pasty I've ever had!!I had the vegetarian pasty which came with a mixture of veggies, covered in a delicious creamy, cheesy sauce, with a perfect quantity of pepper. The pastry was just right too - crispy, and not too thick, allowing you to get to the filling in just one bite. My boyfriend had the traditional pasty, and agreed that it was the best pasty too. He especially appreciated the sauce/gravy that was in the pasty - very rich, and flavoursome. You must stop here, worth a drive from any point in Cornwall!

A family run bakery over 30 years old offering traditionally made pasties. Their flavours include Steak, Cheese, Onion & Leek and Chicken, Bacon and Leek. The sausage rolls are pretty scrummy too. Sit outside and enjoy your pasty with views of the harbour.

Serving window so no need to go inside the bakery to purchase pasties etc. Idea to avoid the risk of covid & if you are on your own with a dog. Best pasties in Padstow.

Ha breakfast in the hotel and had to hit the road. There was no way I was going to eat a pasty, and wasn't going to go to Padstow without eating one, so we got one for the road. I have just nailed it at home, cold, after a 4 hour non-stop drive, and it was like eating pure joy. I have a tear in my eye as even cold, it was superb. I now have to live with the fact that it will be 11 and a bit months before I can have another. Got a stuffed pastie as well which is ace.
