The Cracking Crab in Cornwall

Been coming to Polzeath for years but only tried this today. Had a lovely shrimp baguette and fries. Food was excellent and location superb.

It was such hard work just to order an expensive cream tea, had to remind them to bring jam, knives etc. Had to grapple with an app to order despite having 2 staff within 6 foot and being the only customers in. Poor menu choices and you can’t request little alterations for kids etc because orders are all through an app, no kids menu. Only saving grace was the view, and the scones themselves were nice and light.

We went to cracking crab because it was recommended to us by the holiday company we used and must say we were not disappointed, amazing location and the food was delicious. We initially went on the wrong day thinking that the first day of the season was Tuesday but the owners informed us that it would be Thursday and said they would look after us if we went back, so we did. We are glad we did as the staff were lovely and so helpful. Will definitely go back next time we are in Cornwall. Forgot to take photos of the food which was delicious as I said but got the view.

Nice spot overlooking polzeath beach. Good fresh seafood. Very dog friendly too. Excellent.

Great food and location. I think the lunch time menu is better value then the evening menu but both equally as good in quality. Beer selection is OK with decent beer but they could expand the range a little.

Really great place - the hake was fantastic and the spicy fried prawn starter was excellent. The staff very friendly and helpful. It's just a shame more people cannot enjoy it as they're restricted on numbers due to the staff shortages in Cornwall. Was brilliant. We would have gone back if we could have got a booking!.

We had the seafood platter. At £35 it’s quite a lot but felt it was good value considering how much you get. Easy lunch for two people - staff great and service was swift. Would and we have been back since posting

Good for lunch. Ordering, paying is 100% contactless. Lots of sandwiches and salads. Really good for snack and lunch time. Prices are a bit high,.

Delicious food. Had the sea food platter and everything was fresh and perfectly prepared. The view across Polzeath beach was the clincher, will be heading back.

Lovely restaurant right by the sea, with fantastic food and views. The staff were brilliant and very helpful and polite and even brought my dog over a sausage for a treat before we left. I would definitely recommend and will be returning.
