Where is The Crown?

🏠 Victoria Square, Penzance TR18 2EP

"Set on a quiet Penzance back street, The Crown is one of Cornwall’s hidden gems. You’ll find no distracting screens, jukeboxes or slot machines – just friendly local people savouring the ambience and hospitality of this renowned establishment. The Crown is also home to Cornish Crown ales, a local real ale brewed by the landlord that has a loyal following with six regularly-brewed variations. Six draft ales are always in tap at The Crown. There are also weekly guest ales and we also have Prosecco on draft. We serve our famous handmade pizzas at The Crown on Fridays and Saturdays from 6pm to 9pm."

Lovely old pub, great food, very nice publican & staff. Good accommodation...dog friendly. If your still worried about covid, this is great as they have accommodation adjoining the pub but separate, great place to relax peacefully, glad we went.

·

We ate here last Sunday, whilst the service was fantastic the food was an absolute let down, the Sunday roast was disgusting! The scallops where very questionable.

·

Amazing food, lovely staff and a very nice room. Really enjoyed our stay.

If you are looking for a country pub experience then The Crown Inn is the place to go. Stone floors, beams and roaring fires. Excellent menu for both evening meal and breakfast. My husband loved his breakfast kippers. Accommodation was in an annexe over looking the garden. It was a small room but had everything we needed.

You get a very warm welcome. The staff are very friendly and always have time to talk with you. We have been going there for 4 years now while we are on holiday. The food is great and have never had to complain. We will come again next year. My husband and I recommend the Sunday roasts as they are good portions and the meat is nice and tender.

We chanced upon The Crown Inn by chance having followed local signs pointing in its direction. It proved to be our good fortune, there was enough room for us to enjoy good freshly cooked inexpensive food. Would we recommend a visit to the Crown? Yes we would if you happened to be in the area.

Found this pub by accident and it's a gem. Lunch was brilliant for all 4 of us. Desert was also great. We all agreed that we would have returned here but our holiday ends in 2 days

We were visiting Fowey on a Sunday afternoon and for some reason all the pubs/restaurants in the harbour stopped serving food until the evening.. a quick google search and a phone call to staff revealed this little gem a short drive away.. so if you like us were contemplating hanging around just like all the others in Fowey do yourself a favour and visit here on your way home instead..It may be quiet when you enter (I think we were the only ones in to start with) but don’t let that put you off. There were 6 of us from Grandparents to grandkids and the extensive menu covered all tastes even my awkward ‘vegan/veggie’ needs. Most chose the Sunday roast I had the vegan curry and rice with a side of the best fries I’ve ever tasted!! Everyone said the meat was good quality and everything was piping hot. Veggies were brought out in bowls to share and again there was plenty and nice and hot. Puddings we’re quality too and everything including drinks came to a very reasonable price. The staff were very polite and could not do enough for us. We would definitely recommend visiting this pub and would go again if we were in the area. First class.

Fantastic selection of meals, our party had six different main courses and all were excellent. Service top notch too. Thoroughly recommended

This pub had a brilliant Sunday dinner menu and the friendly staff were very good at efficiently serving even though the pub was busy. This Sunday lunch was as good as it gets.On other days the chalkboard menu was very good, ordered a steak,Again hats off for a brilliant meal. And to cap it all the Guinness was superb.Would definitely recommend this pub 10/10
