Lovely place good food drink and staff.Worth a visit but if wanting to eat reserve first.

Lovely characterful old pub with the usual old characters sat at the bar and the most landlord of landlords you will ever meet - a sadly dying breed. Smiling, gruff, red nosed, friendly, chatty and welcoming. Wish all landlords were like this.Well kept pint of bitter as well!

Been to The Ship many times before. Went in for a pint, greeted by a sign and a member of staff saying 'wait to be seated. 2 mins after arriving I'm at a table waiting for a beer 'menu'. After 5mins I left after seeing a couple just walk up to a bar and a member of staff get a drink for themselves. Will not return for some years.

Great pub. Open fire. Low beams. Great pints.

What a lovely little gem this pub is. Really old, with oak beams and a lovely open fire.Good choice of local ale. We didn't eat but the food that came out looked lovely.Really friendly barmaid too.If we lived here this would be our local for sure.

Ordered a small mussels and chips for a light lunch. The mussels were good and the chips fabulous. The barmaid was chatty, pleasant and helpful. The place also had a lovely atmosphere.

What a pub! Possibly the best pub experience in some time, which for an avid pubber is a big shout. Low ceilings, coal fire, excellent beer, simple, inexpensive, but delicious local mussels on the menu, and above all a delightful lady running the bar who made me and my family feel very welcome indeed. Excellent. 6 stars would be the option if possible!

Absolutely loved this wonderful little pub, tucked away up a narrow street in Mevergissy.A warm friendly welcome, nice food and a good choice of local ales.We came back each night of our 4 day visit to the area, and really began to feel like locals !!Billy and his team, have managed to keep the authentic charm of this old pub, and really made us feel very welcome. We miss you all already, and will certainly be back soon.

📅 30th July 2021🍔We both had the fish & chips with a side of curry sauce. It came with mushy peas and a slamming tartar sauce. Was top draw seaside grub. ✅🍺 Loads on offer we had a pint of Cornish Korev lager to wash down the meal. Refreshing, could do with a lemon wedge.🏠 Classic pub, looked as old as the cliff it was carved into. Lovely photo’s showing historic villagers going about life. ✅ 🏻‍♀️Super friendly, was a mum and son team on the day, no complaints. ✅🏧 £35 for two pints, two meals and the sauce. Not bad for a tourist trap. Quality on show so worth the dosh. ✅🅿️ We parked for free up the hill, if your knees can’t hack a hike park locally in one of the car parks for a £3-5 fee. ✅ℹ️Loved it, we stumbled in hungry and left very content. 5/5
