The best Sunday dinner I’ve ever had at a restaurant. Everything was fresh and very well cooked with lots of flavour. Parking available around the side of the pub.

Sunday carvery was excellent value for money, choice of meats or vegetarian. Food was piping hot. Although clearly short staffed the staff were first class, friendly and helpful. I was really impressed by the gentleman in the restaurant where there was clearly an older lady who came in every week. He took so much time and care with her making her feel valued and special, to me considering how busy they were is a huge thumbs up for the Griffin.

Room lovely. Staff very friendly. Could not do enough for us. Could not ask for anything more. Food excellent, we recommend the griffin inn, can't wait to go back

Sunday roast.. Take ticket.. Waited only 10 mins.. £10 carvey. ..choice (at 4pm) of 3 meats, LOTS of fresh veg, etc. Burgers besdes available.. Mega by the looks of one! And fish & chips stil on the menu. Some parking spots. Town Centre.

Carvery was tasty and meat was tender, some. Of the vegetables were over seasoned and was a bit peppery. Staff were very abrupt, and didn't tend the table very often. A few others tables around us walked out, reasons unknown. Overall nice experience, desserts were nice, the berry sundae had lots of sorbet but only 3 berries, must have ran out. Cannot say I will be rushing back, but not a bad establishment.

Lovely little hotel not far from the beaches the room was basic which Ideal when you are not in there all the time. The menu again was basic but the food was lovely could not fault it the staff were friendly and helpful. If I had one thing to say is that knowing that there is a travellodge next door and your room over looks there room I would like to suggest maybe putting up some net curtians just for privacy purposes

Last night we ordered our 2nd takeaway carvery as our 1st was spot on . What a disappointment, no Yorkshire pudding , no stuffing, lumpy swede , only 2 types of meat when I’d chosen the 3 meat option and the meat was so thick I couldn’t cut it and just thrown on top . The turkey on my husbands order was inedible as it was rubbery like over microwaved. And the roast potatoes were just boiled , lots of them but not roasted at all it’s such a shame as we were really looking forward to it , what a waste of £25 . Such a difference in 2 weeks we won’t risk it again.

Really enjoyed our two night stay at the Griffin Inn, Newquay. Nice clean hotel but a bit dated. Really friendly staff & great breakfast. We will be visiting again soon 😀👍

Went to Griffin for St Pirans evening. Enjoyed a fabulous steak dinner, perfectly cooked and presented. The staff were efficient and cheerful. Excellent meal.Stayed for some Cornish entertainment. Unfortunately due to so many people attending very crowded and couldn't hear the singing as no microphones. I'm sure the singing group were great, shame they couldn't be heard. Still wary of Covid, due to crowd we left early. Fab food, excellent value. 👌

The home made food in Newquay! Mushroom and bacon bruchetta was delicious, I had home made fish pie with chips, it came with long stem brocoli, sugar snap peas and garden peas, absolutely delicious! My partner had surf and turf. After we decided we were full we spotted a sign for home made apple crumble so sat a while then ordered some. Well worth squeezing it in. We sat in the restaurant area, excellent service with a smile. We were away for work so it was a very nice meal after a very long day!
