We recently had a meal here whilst on honeymoon! Stunning food! Stunning location! Brilliant service! We feel this is the best Indian food we've had anywhere and cannot recommend the restaurant highly enough!!!

Unusual restaurant out in the sticks and based in part of an old house. Food excellent from start to finish. We had Indian, but I expect the Thai and Chinese will be great too.

This restaurant was a great find. Amazing food cooked freshly with quality ingredients. Will definitely go again and would recommend to others.

We booked the restraunt for 4 people, then we got send a time to arrive. Once we arrived we found our way into a small bottom floor of an old Mill, there where only 6 seats in the restaurant. The place was so cosy and had some great charm; but the real standout was the food, the Indian we has was some of the best, truly special; I would definitely recommend this for someone looking for a cute and amazing experience!

A very busy friendly pub whose staff happily Went out of their way to cater for an unexpected table of 7 on a very busy Sunday. Their carvary was Excellent, the only down side is that we had no room for pudding!!

The Journeyman Restaurant - Mellingey Mill - St Issey - North Cornwall 16/02/17.The car park is on rough ground and badly lit, and there is some distance to walk to the restaurant which includes a couple of steps, so not too good for those with any form of mobility issues. There is adequate parking for the small number catered for at any one time. The restaurant was lit with candles providing an atmospheric ambience. However the heating was barely adequate to cope with drafts on a February evening.I ordered a red Thai chicken curry with special Thai rice which contained ginger, coconut and coriander. The chicken was marinated in an authentic spicy red curry and coconut sauce, with added kaffir lime leaves, fish sauce, fresh basil and lemongrass, altogether a fabulous taste sensation. My wife being a fish eater, though somewhat allergic to prawns, substituted salmon in a very satisfying Thai green curry with homemade green curry paste,Thai ginger,Kaffir lime leaves and fish sauce, finished with fresh basil and coconut milk, together producing an exquisite blend of flavours. We chose to drink the Cobra beer, (our preference with spicy food), finishing off with coffee. There is a very good wine and spirit list and ample choice of starters and desserts for those that want them. There is no doubt that the attention to detail regarding the standard of food served at the Journeyman, is second to none.We both enjoyed a very pleasant evening in convivial surroundings.

Really good meal which suited all three of our palates. Great service and nice to see the chef come out to talk to us. I'd certainly go back and have no hesitation in recommending this small and excellent Restaurant.
