Great place with good view of the water. Didn't eat as just called for a quick drink but comfy settee and quick service even had a couple of games.to play on the table which was a nice touch. Steps to enter and steps to WC so if that's an issue maybe not for you. Great view and friendly staff.

Nicer inside than it looked from the outside, good selection on the menu, servings were small in my opinion but the quality of the food was good

This was an ideal place to stay right in the middle of the town, very close to the quay and ferry to Polruan, though in peak season would probably be quite noisy i reckon as a small car park is right outside. Lots of steps into the place and lots more inside to get to the rooms, we were in room 4 at the top and had more than 30 steps up to the floor so no good for anyone with mobility issues. Chef had covid so they paid for our breakfast in a nearby cafe which was perfect, lovely staff and great comfy room to stay in with views straight onto the river. Lots of places to eat and drink within minutes though this time of year lots of places are starting to close for a break before spring. Great walks around the area and very pretty surroundings.

We booked a table here because there is a late roast dinner offering from 5 to 8 which is perfect for us, the service was really warm and friendly but the roast was very average.The portion size was very small and even though we asked for more roast potatoes we were still hungry afterwards, the vegetable selection was poor and everything tasted a bit bland and under seasoned with the gravy being quite tasteless. It's not very often we need to eat more food after a roast dinner but we did on this occasion and we also heard other people who had roast complaining about the small portion size which was really poor value for £12.95, shame as it was our first roast trip next autumn/winter this year

Good pub grub and beer was good (Proper Job). Service also good. I had duck burger and wife had scampi. Good portions.

Didn't go in main premises but ordered from the takeout section below. Had one of the best burgers I've had in a long time, but thought it was slightly overpriced. Because they'd been so busy there was nothing to put them in so they were just wrapped in a napkin, despite this would certainly go there again.

Great service from when we arrived- held our luggage for a few hours before checkin. Bar is well priced. Rooms were well appointed - maybe a little tired (bathrooms) but the friendly and welcoming staff made up for it. We booked a double and a twin (rooms 3 and 4) and both were of a very good standard overall - sea views with sash windows. Good coffee machines, fridges with water (and fresh milk opposed to long life in most hotel rooms). A safe in each room too. Would recommend they provide 1 more toilet roll per room - just for convenience. Amazing location. WiFi was not available (but we enjoyed the none screen time). Under new ownership since May apparently - we were pleased. Food menu looked steep in price, but there is a great cornish pasty company around the corner. We will be back again.

This used to be our favourite pub in Fowey, great service, classic meals of superb quality and good value.Having just returned to Fowey following lockdowns the pub has changed hands and whilst the food tasted nice the cost was surprisingly high - just under £100 for just two mains, two deserts and drinks and the menu was tiny, this isn’t what Fowey is about.Service was fine and the staff very friendly however this is just a message to the new owners, locals and regulars like a classic menu, when it comes to winter it will be quiet.If you want to keep up a restaurant style menu in a classic pub that has a large history of being a pub it won’t work. Add classics to the menu and you won’t go wrong, when we were there customers were asking where is the classic burger and fish and chips?Please take note. Don’t alienate your regulars who used to come every week as they’ll be there once the tourists go home.

Highly recommend this place for a stay or even for food and drinks when in Fowey. The customer service was excellent. We received such a warm and friendly welcome. And the view from the room was absolutely beautiful, as well as the breakfast views. Must say the full English breakfast was really delicious. Me and husband thoroughly enjoyed our stay and hope to visit again.
