The Lifeboat Inn in Cornwall

Had the most delicious supper here. The food was fresh and generous portions. The atmosphere and staff also made for a lovely evening

A favourite St Austell pub right next to the RNLI Station, Our first visit since covid restrictions, it seemed very normal, albiet hand sanitiser was available but masks not required.The menu had changed sadly missing my favourite ploughman's lunch and Trelawny ale was no longer available. The staff were friendly and the food was good. Its still a bit snug inside but still has plenty of character with great views of the harbour if you can bag a window seat. Recommend a visit if your in St Ives.

A nice pub in a great location. If you’re lucky you can get a window seat which will allow you to enjoy views across the harbour, not to mention the ability to open a window on a hot day! Nicely decorated with a good atmosphere.All very reasonably priced pub grub and tasty with it. Good sized portions.Toilets clean and tidy.

Great service, well spaced out tables, tasty food. Would recommend the steak and gem ale pie and the fish.

We have had the greatest pleasure of staying at the Lifeboat Inn.The food was amazing, hospitality of staff also amazing, during continued worries with covid. My family felt totally safe at all times and well looked after by the awesome staff.Need to give a shout out to chef also and the best carvery served in a very long time, just what the hangover ordered 🙌

Every time we go to at Ives we visit this pub. It's large, nicely decorated, clean and staff are friendly. The don't do the black stuff (guinness) but they do a hearty equivalent Men Du. I would recommend this pub

We stopped here for some lunch and a cream tea after a wander round. What a lovely place! Staff were lovely and couldn’t fault the service. The food was absolutely delicious, we had the steak frites, lentil burger, mushroom stroganoff and finally an unbeatable fresh crab sandwich (a must try if you go here). Will definitely be coming back next time we visit St Ives - they are also dog friendly which is a huge bonus!

We stopped for lunch after a wander round. What a lovely place. Staff were lovely and couldn’t fault the service. We both had fish and chips, hubby commented on how fresh the fish was and how lovely the batter was. He said it was one of the best pieces of fish, he’d ever eaten. I also used the app to order some drinks, which was so easy to do. I would definitely recommend this place, if you go to St Ives for a visit. It was lovely to sit and watch people go by.
